Is anyone else annoyed with the service at Circuit City? They advertise that if you buy any two Guitar Hero games, you get $20 off instantly. Well their computers don't take it off, so you have to tell the CSR about the deal, who then has to read the ad, then call a manager and then manually take the $20 off. I only went because it was a good deal, especially with a $10 gift card I had left over. Anyways, just needed to vent.

Speedy, you rock. My parents are in LA, and they did me a huge favor and stood in line to get a Wii...and they did indeed get a voucher (voucher #2, store only received 19 Wiis), they were entering the store just a few minutes ago. So, I get to be the proud owner of a Wii, and pick up the PSP Bomberman for $5, gotta love those $5.00 PSP games.

Seriously, your work on this forum has been instrumental in helping me pick up goodies at stores like CC, Target, and BB without having to spend an arm and a leg, and is always appreciated.

Thanks Again!

That's the risk when you try one of these promotions first thing Sunday -- it may not be in their registers yet.

I am EXTREMELY happy to hear that you succeeded in your quest for a Wii.

As always, I am glad to have provided enough advance Intel to have your wish made into reality.

Thanks for the kind words.

for whoever did get the wii voucher how long did you wait before the time(the hour before store opened when it was getting handed out)? Im asking just in case another store does this so I can estimate when i have to be there.

I got one today and I had the same uncertainty as you. I got there just after 8 AM and was #14 in line. This CC had 25 in stock and at 9 AM, when the vouchers were given out, there weren't 25 people in line yet. Though all were gone by 10:15 when I picked the Wii up. I think it will vary depending on location though. I live in the DC suburbs.

Someone else in the games forum from Philly said he got the last of 20 vouchers and that there were about 30 people in line. I don't think he said what time he got there.

Per my mother, she told me she was actually waiting in line around 7 am (two hours before CC started handing out vouchers, she got the 2nd voucher, of nineteen available), but she thinks getting in line between 8 and 9 would have also got her a voucher (but like me, she believes in lining up early). Even though Babies R Us ALSO had Wiis available, when she went to pick up the Wii at 10 am, it had indeed sold out at both places (she says B R Us customers were coming to CC in hopes of finding one on the shelves).

As much as I hate this artificial constraint of supply (Nintendo has had plenty of time to increase supply, due to heavy demand, but I get why they are content to sell out each time they put Wiis out there for retailers to sell), I think folks are just going to have to suck it up and accept that Nintendo can get away with the way things are, for now at least.

I do not get a daily/Sunday paper because the idiot delivery critters were leaving it in front of my apartment (open air, no lobby) to get stolen, so Speedy is a godsend on this forum...has saved me tons of money, and allowed me to pick up lots of movies/tv shows/games I would have missed because I was not paying attention to when, or if, a certain title was coming out.

Hard Boiled: 2 DVD Ultimate Edition >>>> $17.99 ****

****Circuit City Exclusive: Receive a Free Strategy guide for the “Stranglehold” video game PLUS a $10 bounce back coupon good towards the purchase of the XBOX 360 dame version
I tried to get in on this deal but my CC didn't have any of the strategy guides so they wrote a note on the receipt that I'm supposed to get one for free whenever they get them in.

You hold them to that deal John Oaks.

It's ridiculous that they don't have this stuff ready on sale day.

Ditto on the Hard Boiled info. Also, as for Monster Squad, it wasn't on the new release board. I found 1 of 2 copies stuck in the horror section. Tag on the slipcase was 15.99 but rang up for 14.99 at the register. Hope that helps some.

Yeah I didn't find any strategy guides either, but I used one of the 3.00 off coupons that came with another DD release and I got Hard Boiled for 14.99. Also I found 1 copy of Monster Squad in the comedy section.

Same here on Hard Boiled. They sent me back and forth between places, and no one had even heard of it. They even wanted me to buy the DVD now, and come back later for the freebies. Yeah right. Worst retail company ever.

So are all 4 Volumes of Futurama $19.99? Their website doesn't show the sale price but I am being led to believe they are.

I tried using the Dragon Dynasty $3 off coupon today at CC and the clerks said their system doesn't accept manufacturer coupons. The 2 clerks stared long and hard at the coupon and determined they couldn't take it.

Anyone successful with Hard Boiled today? I called them last night for fun, and at first they thought I was talking about a video game. Then person said she was looking at the ad, and didn't see what I was talking about - click.

Sigh.

Any ideas on the price for Batman Beyond Seasons 1 & 2? It mentions that they are on sale but does not give a sales price. Their website doesn't give a sales price which makes me wonder if they are on sale at all.

All of the Batman Beyond seasons (Season 1-3) are EACH on sale for $12.99 in store. All of the Futurama seasons are EACH $19.99. Same goes for King of the Hill & South Park.

Both of the CC's I went to had them all in bins with a pre-printed list of the DVD's and price attached on the outside. Thankfully, I picked up the last copy of BB Season 2 since CC is always limited on supply. It certainly would've been more helpful if CC had listed all of the seasons at the price (especially for pricematching purposes) instead of displaying a single season and listing the other seasons as "on sale".
