Am considering getting this set, however the packaging with the cardboard slots raises concern about the DVD being scratched and damaged over time with use. Anyone have this already and have this problem?

That's my concern as well, I think if I use them a lot I'll put them in a generic case. It's still a bargain compared to the separate volumes.

umm is this worth a blind buy? i heard/read so many things about this series.i just don't know if i'll like it or not...what's like? plus,iam looking for something that won't come out before like January or Feb to order it with this set to freeze the price,any idea?

Tempting, but I will resist. I know that I'll never watch it more than once. Still, at 10 bucks a season, it may still be worth it, but I'm way too backlogged with other unopened DVD's right now. Great deal, though...

If your blind buying it and don't want to get it until Jan/Feb, I wouldn't go through the hassle of ordering it. Just because you order something that doesn't ship for awhile doesn't mean the Mash set won't ship till then.

Thats a great price - I paid about $137 a couple months ago on DD. Its strange how this set disappeared for a few months (and people starting paying insane prices for it) now I see it in stores all the time.

Looks like this deal is dead --they are sold out. There are a few tv shows I've thought about collecting, but these Amazon deals make me think it's wise to hold off and wait for the day when I can pick up the whole series at a huge discount.

Looks like this same deal is available at Target.com but with sales tax and shipping. My final cost was $121.20.
