Going to pick up Deadwood Seasons 2 & 3

bluetoast 07-07-07 12:31 PM

How much would this make Deadwood? $30?

thursdaynighter 07-07-07 12:53 PM

Does anyone know if you can request a coupon at the customer service desk if you never got one in the mail? Costco membership expired but being able to get Band of Brothers for $30 will get me to renew. Thanks.

Stopped by CostCo yesterday - HBO box sets are around $45. Didn't see any coupons up front..
My Costco usually doesnt start giving them out till they are valid. Yes you can usually get the coupons from the front desk then.

I'm sort of a newbie to Costco and I was just wondering if you guys think that they will re-stock HBO product specifically for the coupon deal that is starting next week. I stopped by my local Costco on Sunday and they only had Deadwood S3 in stock. No S1 or S2 and I didn't see Band of Brothers at all. I think they had a couple of the Sopranos seasons though. Anyway, just wondering if I can expect the same slim pickins on the 16th or if they'll have tons of each HBO title listed on the coupon.

My Costco always replenish their supply in preperation for a coupon sale. I saw many copies of the qualifying titles at my local Costco this past Sunday. I would say that the chances are good that you'll find what you are looking for this Monday.

was anyone able to check and see if the item numbers were good on other sets then the ones listed?

Most of the time they just take off the discount automatically or they have coupons right there at the register for you to use.

lCraZyaZnl 07-11-07 10:56 PM

I will be there for Deadwood S3 and Sopranos 6.1.

gotrice487 07-12-07 02:07 AM

To answer my own question and in case anyone is wondering, the Dreamworks titles are priced at $12.99 before rebate

thursdaynighter 07-12-07 07:08 PM

Well, I got my coupons today so I guess next Monday I'll renew my membership and pick up Band/Brothers for $30. Can't wait.

Just got home with these two titles. ~$60 after tax (they tax for the whole amount and then deduct the $20 per title).

Do you have to have the coupons for the discount or is it taken off automatically at the register?

I could be wrong (I'm going there today), but I think you have to have the coupon.

bluetoast 07-16-07 10:58 AM

How much were the seasons of Deadwood after discount?

Shagrath 07-16-07 12:14 PM

You had to have the coupon for them to scan. It wasn't automatic at the register. They let me keep the coupon though, in case I needed it again. I have everything that's available, so no need for me.

Deadwood was 48.39 before discount, I believe.

lCraZyaZnl 07-16-07 01:09 PM

I just picked up Sopranos 6.1 and Deadwood Season 3 today. For those who live in the Dallas/Plano area, the Costco in West Plano (Tollway and Park) has zero Deadwood Season 3 but has plenty of the other boxes. The other Costco in Plano at service road at 75 had over 30 copies of Deadwood Season 3 and all the other boxes as well, but seemed thin on Sopranos 6.1.

That's a great deal. I've been wanting to see Deadwood for quite some time, but it's like $80 at Best Buy. I'll definitely be picking up season 1 tonight or tomorrow.

TheMovieman 07-16-07 07:30 PM

Picked up Deadwood Seasons 2 and 3. They had a ton of season 3 but limited on season 2 (maybe 5). I had to lift up the Sopranos cardboard box to get to a season 2 set.

Sparrow 07-16-07 07:35 PM

I picked up Deadwood Season 3 and Sopranos Seasons 5 & 6.1. The cashier requested the coupon in my case. As another poster indicated, they had plenty of Deadwood Season 3, but only a single Deadwood Season 1 and just a few Season 2 sets.

This is the Schaumburg, IL location

so. cal here. got sopranos s5 and s6.1. $47.29 each before coupon. i guess they pulled all the other seasons in prep for the sale? last week they had pretty much every season of every hbo show and this week, the only ones available were the ones for the coupon use. plenty of sopranos s5 and s6.1, a bit short on s4. deadwood s3 in abundance, a few deadwood s2, no deadwood s1, but maybe they'll get some more in since today is only the first day of the coupon.

and for someone who asked earlier, the other shows had different item numbers. like they had a few seasons of six feet under but they didn't match the item numbers even though they are also hbo. and like i said, since they seemed to have gotten rid of all other seasons of the sopranos, i don't know if they had been the same item number in the past, though i suspect they would've, which is probably why they did pull them.

brocklanders 07-16-07 09:27 PM

For those of you worried about the coupon, just go to the customer service counter and they will give you the coupon book. You can also reuse the coupon's as many times as you like. I saw all seasons of the Sopranos and Deadwood available. For me they took the coupon off of the regular price BEFORE they added the tax so the cashier whom took the coupon after the tax did it incorrectly. Makes a diference if you bought everything available as I did. Heard a lot of great things about Deadwood so its a blind buy for me and bought all three seasons. I love the Sopranos and BOB already so bought 4-6 and the BOB boxed set.

I also did see some dvd's I had not seen before. For those of you into Angel, they had several seasons there for $16.99 and Firefly for the same price.

Karl LaFong 07-16-07 10:58 PM

Sopranos 6.1 for $27 after coupon. For those in Memphis area, Winchester Costco had full stock of Sopranos and Deadwood.
