Is it just me or is this not that great a deal on the dvds? The titles I am interested in seem close to DD's price and would be cheaper during the next 20% off sale there....

Does the gotanime membership get you anything aside from the 10% off? It seems all the titles I ordered from them so far were not eligible for that discount.

Finally got my GitS:SSS in today...wow...how could the Extras disk NOT get scratched? What's the point in even trying to exchange it? They're all going to be damaged...

Just went through a x5 skip through the extras disk looking for problems, and it appears to be all right, but...still...how was this packaging approved for retail?!

slightly off topic question regarding GITS SAC:

looking at the Solid State Society dvd set, it is being released by both Manga and Bandai. I'm curious to know what role(s) each company has in the show and movie. Is one more responsible than the other? Also, are both companies involved with the TV series as well?

I'm not sure if anyone has answers for me, but seeing how strong the fanbase is, I thought it would be worth a shot.

Bandai handles the authoring, and Manga handles the distribution. I'm not sure which is responsible for packaging.

AFAIK, neither Bandai nor Manga had a direct hand in the movie's or series' production.

EB/Gamestop are selling Enchanted Arms PS3 for $19.99. FYE pays $31.80 cash or $38.42 credit for the game.

Also, FYE are running a deal with Helio where you buy a Helio phone and get a $50 gift card. They have the Helio Heat phone for $50 and you can use the $50 gift card on it, basically meaning theyre giving you the phone for free. You can then sell your free phone on ebay for $45-70. My store let me "buy" all 3, they just had to do them in seperate transactions.

Hmm... you must have ordered later than I did. I've already got R.O.D the TV and Niea shipped out and received.

I'm just waiting on one Fafner DVD now. With the DVDs I have now, I still have a lot to watch. I guess I'm just anxious waiting a month for it to ship. I really can't wait to see how the R.O.D the TV box looks, since it would complete a full shelf of boxsets

Probably already been mentioned, But FYE has the 2disk LE version - Steelcase, of Hellsing Ultimate Vol 2 for $20. Just like Best Buy had vol1 with just the steelcase, it looked like FYE got vol 2 with just the steelcase. It has an exclusive sticker on the front. Maybe CC will get it for vol 3

Anywho, it's $20, plus you have the B1G1 and you have a sweet deal. Also, they had a few older anime on discount. I found an old copy of Video Girl Ai for $10. Also, they had GaoGaiGar vol 1 for $10.

I ended up getting Tenjo Tenge Vol 8, Hellsing Ultimate 2, and VG Ai for $31.50 after the 10% card. Not bad at all.
