Haven't seen either of the newest sales at my WM. I managed to snag a Starship Troopers 2Disc. I think I have seen Starship Troopers 2 in the bin as well. It was a straight to DVD flop unlike the first one. Finally broke down and bought The Running Man SE 2D remastered and went ahead and bought War Of The Worlds WS. Both FS and WS versions were plentiful at my local store.

Also in the bin:

13 Going On 30 (Fun & Flurry edition)
A History Of Violence
A River Runs Through It
Agent Cody Banks 2 SE
Air America
Air Force One
Anaconda
Aviator 2D
Bachelor Party
Big Daddy
Big Trouble In Little China
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Charlie's Angels Full Throttle
Dogma
Domino
Eddie & The Cruisers
Envy
Hollywood Homicide
How The West Was Won
Last Man Standing
Meet Joe Black
Monster
My Cousin Vinny
Once Upon A Time In The West
Panic Room
Phone Booth
Point Of No Return
Rat Race
Robocop 2
Robocop Resurrection
Rose Red 2D
Sahara
Secret Window
Stargate SE
S.W.A.T.
Sweet November
Taking Lives Director's Cut Unrated
Tango & Cash
Terminator 2
The Big Bounce
The Devil's Rejects
The Doors SE
The Family Man
The General's Daughter
The Karate Kid
The Long Kiss Goodnight
The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Revolutions
The Nutty Professor
The Omen
The Perfect Storm
The Planet Of The Apes (2001)
The Replacement Killers (FS)
The Saint
The Sum Of All Fears
The Sure Thing
The Witches Of Eastwick
Timeline
Total Recall
Training Day
True Lies
U-571
Young Guns SE

Some of the above are FS. Buyer beware. As always YMMV. Some of these were leftovers from the BF sale which included FS versions of Blood Diamond and Syriana which are also in my local bin.

Also spotted Man On Fire 2D CE, Platoon 2D CE, and Ronin 2D CE for $9.96 each. Also The Sure Thing Decades Collection which includes a 80s music compilation CD and Life's Eye On The 80s 16 page booklet for $11.96.

I just re-checked my walmart yesterday and the dump bin still sucks. I have been trying to get the 2 disc Starship but they have none. Plenty of Starship Troopers 2 though.

Thanks to all the people who reported several 2-disc versions of various titles, I went back to take a closer look and managed to pick up the 2-disc version of Planet of the Apes. Looking at the spline, it was virtually impossible to tell the difference among the tens of other 1-disc copies. I already have to 1-disc version, but double-dip to see the documentaries.

Here's another 2-disc title that I noticed, but hasn't been mentioned here.

World Trade Center (2-disc Commemorative Edition)

It's probably a left-over or return from the Paramount 3.98 sale at the end of September. If that is the case, based on my experience it *should* still scan for that price. All of the lower priced previous "studio sale" titles I run across still scan for the lower price.

Here's the thread: New Walmart Display - $3.98 Paramount Titles

If you look you might find a 3 disk version. One of the WMs close to me had lots of both of them during that sale.

Actually I returned a few of the 3.98 titles (because there was a better version) and I noticed the cashier had to override the 5.00 price for 3.98 so I wouldn't get too much $$ back. Also I scanned some BF 2.98 titles recently and they came up 5.00. So, I believe that that title will indeed be 5.00.

Wow! I just finished reading the "$3.98 Paramount Titles" thread, and didn't know there was such a scavenger hunt for the 3-disc version of WTC. My 2-disc copy did ring up as $5.00. It's still a great deal since I haven't seen the movie, and movie tickets in NYC are $10+.

I'm not too bummed out for missing the 3rd disc though (mostly survivors' interviews), since I normally buy multi-disc sets for the movie and the behind-the-scenes documentary. I do have recording of many survivors' interviews from all the documentaries on Nova, Discovery, and History Channel.

I would expect that of the BF titles. However, I'll have to check some of the others now! It *has* been some time since I've found a previously sub-$5 title that I missed the first time around.

The 2-disc POTA should be easy to spot from the single. Digipak to an amaray.

The 2-disc was originally released in a keepcase, so that's probably the one that is in the bin, not the numbered digipak.

Then shouldn't it say "2 Disc Special Edition" on the cover? Pretty easy to tell.

My latest treasure I found in the dump bin was "Blade" (the 1st one) in a widescreen special edition with bonus features. Has commentary and making-of featurettes. Beats the hell out of the old release in the snapper case.

a small "in-joke" in the movie bedazzeled, it is a remake of a late 60s british comedy which starred dudley moore and peter cook. there is scene in the remake where elizabeth hurley is walking 2 dogs and she refers to them as peter and dudley. I must say that elizabeth hurley is smokin hot!! in this movie.

Can I just say that the Paramount display at Wal-Mart is a joke in terms of what's pictured and what's available. Display has WS pictures of movies while it's full of the FS versions. Imagine the horror when I brought up the WS copies to purchase at the sale price. After some insisting I finally got them, but still, it shouldn't have been a hassle if the display shows the WS ones.

Is it like that at everyone else's or are they actually offering the WS versions at sale price?
