Unfortunately, I have to agree with the consensus here. Usually I'm one of DeepDiscount's biggest advocates (and I still am -- I just happen to be one who is disappointed with this sale so far in its very beginning stages).
For example, I was planning to order the Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection and Life in the Undergrowth during this sale, but I see both are 3-5 dollars higher than their Amazon prices. LitU would (I believe -- I haven't done the math) be cheaper to buy on Amazon than to purchase WITH the sale.
I'll keep checking the prices on these through the 17th... maybe the DeepDiscount fairy can come through and makes things better for me?

I am planning on getting Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Mysteries but it is still listed as a pre-order. Wish I could order it today with the discount. It will be released on the 12th though. I also hope they don't change the price.

Looks like they fixed the rate to Canada...its back to a flat rate of 5.95
As for the person who wondered about international rates you can find the details here:
https://www.deepdiscount.com/shipping_timeframes.htm
When you checkout there is now a link to these rates from there so i'm assuming these rates are pretty up-to-date.
i noticed too that some prices were upped on some stuff i had...i should really keep better track of how much thing were prior to the sale
i havent purchased yet but plan to sometime today

If I look in the section "DVDs Under $10", I see loads of DVDs not under $10. For instance, wasn't Silk Stalking $9.82 recently? Now it's $18.xx. Probably a way of seeing how they've jacked up some prices.
I can only think of a couple DVDs I might order (Revenge of the Nerds: Panty Raid Edition and the Officer and a Gentleman re-release, which is only $7.82). Was looking for Battle of Iwo Jima Eastwood box, but it says Item No Longer Available. Lame...
