I was considering buying the Akira DVD, but it appears that there are a two different versions:
1) a 1 disk "Geneon Signature Series" version released in 2004; and
2) a 2 disk "special edition" released in 2001
Anyone know the differences in terms of (1) quality of the video/audio; (2) length of the movie/extra scens; and (3) quality of extra features?

It looks like the tv complete series on this sale is the bargain of the century....Six Feet Under, Homicide and the Sopranos is real cheap at this rate if you buy the entire collection. Well I hope the sale is another day. I need more time to shop. Was able to get 8 1/2 by Fellini and Brazil very cheap(not the Criterion collection, dont need the extras)
