Hmm. Some of those Batman movies don't look like the new SE releases.

They don't, but they are all 2 disc'ers. We're the original releases 2 discers? (if you check out the info on special features)

I don't think the original releases were 2-discers.

These are all the SEs which were recently released. Look at the special features and you'll see they are one in the same.

Circuit City has this same deal going, but mine was all out of stock so this saves me shipping and tax. Thanks OP.

I already have all of those, but I have the original Batman Legacy box set (which were all one disc versions) is it worth the double dip to get the two disc SE versions? Did they remaster the picture and sound or just add more extras or both?

Lecithin,
The PQ is so much better (esp. for Batman Returns). That alone is worth the double-dip. They added a bunch of extras too (see everywhere online for reviews).

DTS audio now too. Pretty sure the original versions were lacking that.

By PQ do you mean "Penquin Quotient"?

I would consider buying this again if only for Michelle Phieffer, who actually bothered to act. Her performance in this film is pretty amazing: nuanced and effective when all around her is bombast and overreaching.

Correct. Unquestionably worth the double dip if you are a fan.

The picture quality on the original Batman is ridiculously improved since the initial release was one of the first DVDs produced (and even has Full Frame on the flip side - ick).

Thanks for the info. I guess I will start double dipping (maybe I should wait for HD though...)

I have all the Batman SEs (2-Disc DTS) and, unlike these, they have matching keepcases... each has a border around the cover artwork. Is this yet another release?? Mine have all the bonus features also...
