Miami Vice s3 + s1, s2 or s4 for $23.50 each before tax

Seasons 3 & 4 were released today. Target has them for $34.99 each. DeepDiscountDVD has them for $36.89 each. Circuit City has them for $49.99 each .

Best Buy has them for $36.99 each, but if you buy any two seasons of Vice at the same time, you can get 'em both for $50. However, s3 also has a manufacturer coupon for an additional $3 off bringing the total down to $47 or $23.50 each.

Is it outside the package, so you can use it at checkout? Otherwise if you have 1 and 2, how do you use it at checkout without opening it first?

Yes. It's stuck to the front of season 3 only.

I bought them today at Best Buy and didn't even notice them until I got home. Oh well. I only paid $47.25 after I used a $5 RZ coupon so I guess I didn't do too bad.

The $3.00 coupon is a YMMV thing, because Best Buy are being jerks about the coupon. I go to checkout at the San Jose, CA Best Buy, and I have the coupon in hand...the cashier says you can use the coupon or take advantage of the buy both for $50 deal...so I say, hey, this is a manufacturers (sp?) coupon, so he goes to the customer service folks, and yup, they claim I cannot use it if I want to take advantage of the two for $50 deal.

I had two $10.00 RZ certs, so I was able to pick up the Vice sets and the Bring It On two pack for less than $44.00...so I did not pitch a fit, because I was still extremely happy with the price I paid for everything (they were indeed offering both Vice sets for more than 50% off MSRP, so that was sweet).

The fact is, BB would be reimbursed from the manufacturer, so there is NO REASON why the idiot(s) in CS are not letting this coupon stack with their in-store/on-line deal. A zombie with half of its head blown-off would have enough common sense to accept the coupon, but hey...I was dealing with Best Buy, not brain dead zombies, and we all know they would make better cashiers at BB stores

Nowadays, I am unfortunately not surprised that many stores Customer Service departments do not actually provide...well, customer service.

I tried it yesterday. The coupon registered as $0.00. The girl checking me out said "It must not work with the sale" to which I replied - "It should - its a manufacturers coupon - you get reimbursed on it". She then tried it a second time and it still came up $0.00. So she completed the sale (complete with the big sale screen that comes up which she has to confirm to get the 2 for $50 price) and the total was exactly $53.00. ($50 plus $3 tax). At that point she entered a generic "manufacturers coupon" somehow and put the amount at $3 which was deducted. So my set came out at exactly $50.

There really isn't any reason why it shouldn't work - the 2 for $50 is Best Buy's own sale price. Universal is kicking in the $3.

I should have gone your route, but I am still shocked that BB is so clueless not to realize that the manufacturer will return that $3.00 they take off our MV sets (in fact, I believe BB gets a bit more than $3 to make up for the time and cost of processing the coupons, so yeah, no sane reason why it is such a pill to get on-box DVD coupons to work at BB).

Thanks to the OP for this, I hardly ever check the store specific bargain threads anymore. Hopefully with sales like these, it will move a lot of units prompting Uni to release the final season, again with all music intact.

Just to clarify, all S3 set coupons I saw read, 'Save $3 when you buy Season 4.' So you'd have to buy that season (but I guess wouldn't necessarily have to buy S3) to get the coupon to work. I think I saw the coupon also come up as $0.00, but it may have been because the checker scanned the coupon before the boxes. He did have to later enter it as manufacturer coupon, but without a problem- though it did take the $3 off the after tax total, not before tax.
