We always think of things that we should have said after the fact. It's always much harder to come up with these things on the spot. Anyway, that cashier obviously has no customer service skills whatsoever.

Sounds like you're referring to the recent remake. I could be wrong, but I'd think that one on sale would be the original.

Nothing came up on the screen. I may try Garner, but won't have the chance until tomorrow and thats a maybe.

Nope! It is the remake that is on sale. I was going to get it during my lunch hour, but they sold out of anything that i was interested in to go with it for BOGO.

No, the one on sale was the remake. My only complaint was that the ending was too much like Armageddon.

I picked up 6 titles in Trumbull, CT for $31.77. The cashier scanned all 6 and then told me that it was $63.54. I told her that it was supposed to be a BOGO. She clicked her screen and then told me $31.77. For everyone that said it was a no-go, make sure to tell the cashier that it's supposed to be a BOGO. Alas, the 300 discs weren't out. I asked a blue shirt and she said that they were packed with the Alexander discs and would not be on the shelf until tomorrow. She told me to bring my receipt with me tomorrow and that I would get the 300 discs. Another big thanks to the OP for the best "deal" of 2007 thus far.

Didn't think the remake was that well-received. Incidently, I was about to edit that post to ask if getting the original for $5 was a no-brainer, but now the point is moot.

Ok, if not everybody has gone through this thread, I feel it is my duty as the OP to let you all know that this deal is still going on! I went back just to try it out again and picked up Batman, Batman Returns, Rebel Without a Cause, and Enter the Dragon.

If any of you are interested, I am in Omaha, NE.

tophrman.. Thank you kindly for sharing this.

Too bad a few other of Warner's Two-Disc weren't part of the sale (Network, All the President's Men, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Color Purple, The Right Stuff, The Outsiders, Once Upon a Time in America, The Searchers, Chaplin films etc.)

It worked in Woodbury, MN. I ended up with 20 DVDs for $100. With the 20 free 300 passes, it originally rang up over $400, then when she was done ringing them, the price fell to $106 (tax). What a deal!! Even the girl behind the register was shocked. Thanks so much guys!

The situation was that they previously had these titles at $19.99 but at B1G1 free. This week they lowered the prices to $9.99 each, but they're not really supposed to be B1G1 free at this price. This is a pricing mistake, so if the titles don't ring up as B1G1 free, you're out of luck.

What the HELL are you going to do with 20 passes to the 300?

But on another note... there must be way more people that troll these forums than post because I checked the Best Buy in Akron, Ohio around 2:30 this afternoon and they had 2 300 bonus discs left, only one copy of about 5 WB $9.99 discs and none of about 15. I picked up Beerfest and a copy of the 300 disc... I was going to get Wicker Man but they were all out.
