I went to the Beaverton, Oregon, store right after it opened this morning, and there were at least four other people milling through the DVD section with a printout of the list from this thread. It was pretty funny.
My damage:
Million Dollar Baby
Lost Boys
East of Eden
Cuckoo's Nest
True Romance
Casablanca
Room With a View
Shawshank
Philadelphia Story
Goodfellas
V For Vendetta
Giant
Heat
Rebel Without a Cause
$69.93

The NoHo store at noon had a lot of empty slots where these titles were supposed to be. I did pick up My Fair Lady and Chariots Of Fire plus one 300 disc and went to CS counter to get three more 300 discs using receipts from previous purchases. The CSR figured the easiest way for her to do it was to do it as a refund for the titles I paid for and then buy the 300 discs at $9.99. Net result was the same but it'll screw up a return if there's any defects with my DVDs.

Still working tonight in Minneapolis, got these for $30:
Bullitt (2)
East of Eden
Amadeus DC
Casablanca
Room With A View
They had some 300 discs, but I didn't know if they were free or not. Ehh...wasn't super interested anyways.

Right you are! I shoulda remembered that Philadelphia was with Tom Hanks although I seem to recall that it or he received some sort of Oscar.

The deal is still alive at the St Louis area stores, however the St Peters store in particular is nearly wiped out.
Hint.... Look in the normal alphabetical section with all the rest of the DVDs and you may find what you're looking for. I found a few that I couldn't find that way.

The Madison Hts. and Dearborn, MI stores had about half of their selection picked off with no GoodFellas at either, but plenty of 300 discs at one and I saw a few at the other.

lol, looks like this is still going on, right? I didn't see this thread until just now.
All I really want is Goodfellas. I read that the HD-DVD version isn't an upgrade over the DVD version, so I want to get it for $9.99. I just watched Casino two weeks ago and now I'm in the mood to watch Goodfellas.. AGAIN.

Still working in San Francisco as of three hours ago...
Picked up:
True Romance
The Unforgiven
Heat
A Room With A View
plus one 300 preview disc
Went to the Emeryville location earlier and they had tons of 300 discs, but none of the films I wanted. San Francisco had all the movies I needed, but only one 300 disc. The funny thing is is that even though the DVDs were a steal (thanks OP), I still can't help but feel like I missed out on part of the deal as I was only able to get one 300 ticket. I really only needed one more for the wife. oh well. I wonder if I could take the receipt to the Emeryville store and get one more ticket. Oh well, I'll get over it....

Speaking of this sale, I bought 1 of everything I didn't already have on Monday when I discovered this sale by pure accident (I hadn't read DVD Talk). That night I read here about 4 titles I missed and the 300 tickets, so I bought those and picked up 4 300 discs. They still had everything in stock, so I could've been greedy and re-bought everything and gotten over a dozen 300 discs and then returned my Monday purchases later. (This is much easier than going to CS and begging for 300 discs for a previous transaction.) However, I resisted temptation and only got 4 300 discs with the 4 titles I had missed.
I passed on the Batmans and Bullitt SEs as they were included in the Batman Anthology and Steve McQueen Set. I also passed on Boogie Nights as I was told its about the porno industry. Call me a prude.
Most of the employees knew about the BOGO sale and thought it was legitimate. There was no need to keep quiet or act like I was doing something wrong. I saw at least 3 other guys with large stacks of Warner SEs and 300 discs. Nobody had any problems getting the deals.

Now here's a question:
How many of you are actually going to try to watch these movies in your free time? Or will they be heading in the "To be watched later at some point in my life" pile?

Got the last copy of Amadeus on the shelf and also picked up another DVD I had been eyeing to get an extra free ticket. The guy at the register said he could only ring up one of the free tickets per transaction so he did the two separately so I could get it...

If so, you missed out on a movie, because Amadeus is B1G1F. You could have picked another special edition movie for free and walked out the door for the same price...

Bought four WB Special Edition dvds (for $20 + tax) Monday, but the local Best Buy didn't have the 300 disc/tickets yet -- and the clerk was stunned when the dvds rang up B1G1 -- anyway, another crew member said the tickets would be in on Tuesday. I asked if I could come back with my receipt for the tix and they said "sure." Went back today and the same clerk said he could give me 2 of the 300 freebies. I didn't have the nerve to push for 4 (1 per disc). Simple transaction, though -- he didn't even try to ring them up -- just "demagnetized" the disc boxes and told me to walk out with them! Looking forward to watching the flick and also my $5 DVDs! Thanks OP!

Burbank, Ca store had a bunch of titles, including at least 20 copies of Goodfellas. Deal rang up no problem.
This deal is very sweet for Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby because these sets include the CD soundtrack.
BTW, I don't think this is a glitch, with the exception of a few store managers out there that might think it is. Anyway, here's my theory... a lot of the B1G1 can already be found at Costco for $8 and some change. So, Warners has already lowered the price of these 2 disc sets if Costco is selling them for that price. Historically, Costco prices run a few bucks higher on almost all the titles they stock with a very few exceptions here and there. This, in addition to Warners huge push for the movie 300 to be a huge success gets everyone talking... we here at DVD Talk (and other sites) are running around like the ant hill is on fire... Meanwhile Warners and Best Buy are selling TONS and TONS of DVDs that cost pennies to make.
All of the movies in this deal have already made millions of dollars at the box office and millions more on DVD, VHS, Laser, rental, cable, etc... They aren't losing money here folks!
I ended up buying 14 of these 2 disc DVDs this week that I otherwise wouldn't have purchased, unless of course there was a price drop like this... For the past few weeks I've been tempted to buy a few of these titles at Costco, but I'm glad I held out.
Get in on this deal now, I'm sure the B1G1 will most definitely end by this coming Sunday.

Imagine say, if Amazon.com was running an unadvertised special where if you bought two box sets, you would get the cheaper box set price deducted from the price of EACH SET! Imagine how excited customers would be at checkout when they discovered the great deal they were getting. The word of mouth would be spectacular. Amazon.com would sell tons of DVDs and people here would be talking about them nonstop.
Hey, waitaminute....

My mistake I guess...I didnt realize the list of titles that were $9.99 this week was different than the ones that were B1G1F (I seem to recall someone mentioning in the Best Buy ad thread that "wow, these are on sale again?"). Lady in the Water was part of the $9.99 list, so I assumed it was part of the secret B1G1F deal too. Oh well...I might go back today and try for Bullitt and East of Eden then...there seemed to plenty of everything when I was there Tuesday morning...although Im not interested in getting them for $9.99 each since I can get them cheaper from Columbia House.
