There IS a store coupon, but it can't be printed. I doubt you can use this in the store, unless you were sent one. The store coupon I have is a sticker they sent to me in the mail. It can only be used once. They're actually pretty smart. It's a lot harder to do fraud on a sticker, than to just scan and print extra coupons...

Anybody try to use the 25% off coupon more than once? I'm curious if that is only once per account...

EDIT: Nope, I just tried it... Only once per member account.

I wish! My friend also got this in the mail. I emailed him to verify his 50% off code is the same as mine. My fingers are crossed that his is different, but I doubt we'd be so lucky... I'll update this once I find out...

Thank you for the 50% off coupon. I got the Ford set for $103 plus change.
I don't have a B&N Mastercard so I didn't get the 5% extra discount. No complaints. Great deal.

You're welcome. Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is the Ford set? I saw someone else post about this, but I don't have a clue what it is...

Thanks, I didn't know about that. Some great titles in there (and some I never heard of). But I'm so backlogged on watching DVD's, I'd surely never get through all 21 films... Great deal, though!

I had to sleep with Mr. Noble. Thankfully, Mr. Barnes never found out...

I was a bit surprised all members didn't get this. Maybe everyone will, but their promotions department is backlogged? For everyone's sake, I hope that is the case...

Yes, however the 50% off code requires paying with a Mastercard. But you could use the 25% off coupon with your gift card online...

I wonder if you can use it for pre-orders? Or would that be risking it?

I was wondering if anyone else who used the 50% coupon on in stock items have received an email that the shipment of their order was being delayed? I received the following email copied below this evening that my shipment of the War has unexpectedly been delayed for some unexplained reason. When I checked the web site it appears in stock. It has me thinking if BN could be intentionally delaying orders to investigate whether the use of the coupon is being used legitimately before shipping. I'm not trying to start a panic in the thread but this is the first time they ever notified me of an order getting delayed. Maybe I'm getting a bit cynical since I already had 2 other orders for the same DVD get cancelled a few weeks ago from different online stores because of pricing errors. I'm just checking to make certain BN isn't up to something with the coupon.

Due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the merchandise
listed below in the time frame indicated in our previous email. We
anticipate that your merchandise will be shipped within the next 1-5 business
days. (Please note: business days are Monday through Friday, excluding
holidays observed by the Post Office.)
As always, you will not be charged until this merchandise ships from
our warehouse.

We assume that you still want to purchase this merchandise. However,
if you would like to cancel this portion of your order, you may do so
online at: http://www.bn.com/orderstatus.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay.

-- Barnes & Noble

Please note: Changes to your order may take up to 60 minutes to appear
on your Order Status page, particularly during peak shopping periods.
To view Order Status, click http://www.bn.com/orderstatus.

This part of your order is expected to ship within 1-5 business days:

The email must have been an error about the delay. A few minutes ago I received shipping confirmation on the same order.

That was my first thought too, but I can't decide if I want to upgrade from my regular sets as I have heard concerns about the disc conditions from this packaging.

Will either do this, or Star Trek the Original Series.

Thanks Kenbenobi

FYI, I was able to use a gift card with my 50% off order, although I paid the balance (gift card did not cover entire order) with a mastercard. I think as long as you pay SOME part of your order with a mastercard, you should be fine.

Well, as always, I appreciate the OP who listed the 50% off code. I hadn't even considered becoming a member until this offer. I am now a member (and I even applied for the BN mastercard, although I couldn't use it today), which allowed me to get Sopranos: S6 Part 2 for $29.39. Including the $25 membership, that's still $10 less than Amazon is offering.

I went to a retail BN to grab a membership last night, and successfully used the 50% code this morning. However, it was stacking another discount with the 50%. An $80 "online price" item ended up being $33 after everything with tax.

Is this normal? The only thing I can think of that I clicked extra was some box after linking my account to my member number that said "save extra on your first order" or something like that.

At any rate, thanks for the codes guys! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for the next year or so...

The reason an $80 online price became $33 is because you essentially get 60% off the online price (50% off online price is taken first, and then you still get the original 10% off the online price added after). So, $32 + tax ~ $33. Just think of the code as taking 60% off the online price (which is commonly discounted at least 10% off retail - making the final price at least 64% off retail).

That is so hot!
I noticed this morning the Ford box dropped to 30% off, and is now $209.98 before a member discount. Should be even cheaper now with the 50% coupon and member discounts.
