Man, that sucks. I had another order cancelled by GCO today. I still have 3 open orders, and I really wish they'd ship already. DVD Planet is just toooo slooooow...

Which vendor? My CDUniverse orders still show up as "in progress" when I look them up in GCO. Will other vendors update the status with "cancelled"?

Ad for GCO says 1 per person...

There are alot of people with the same name but I guess if the name and address match up... even if you use different credit cards they will catch it going forward. However seems they will let you create the account just to inflate their membership numbers for advertisers... but kill the order via the merchant.

seems to be new orders going forward cause older orders are still shipping.

If you think an order may be cancelled, then go with Dvd Empire. They ship the same day if purchased before the cutoff time. Order right before the cutoff time and it should ship before Google can do anything.......maybe.

And, besides the email that you got, how else can you tell that the order was cancelled? It shows that way on your Google history? On your DVD Planet history?

If they cancel an order, it shows up on your Google Checkout history.

Hmm, I received the "we caught you" email on one of my accounts, but none of my others. Has this happened to anyone else and did they ever get around to closing out all of your accounts?

"They" who? CD Universe sent me that "cancelled" email a couple of times and my corresponding GCO orders are still listed as "In Process". Which specific vendors are you talking about?

I don't know, I guess when Google Checkout catches one of your accounts and has the order canceled. That's the way it's been when I've noticed something was canceled.

Well, that's what happened to be with CD Universe, and none of my GCO accounts were ever updated. Did you see that happen with any other vendors?

Well I placed a GCO order at DVDPlanet tonight with an e-mail address I created yesterday. Now to see if it gets cancelled.

Just made an order at Dvd Empire. Now to see if it ships out later this afternoon or gets cancelled.

If it gets cancelled, maybe I can modify my address a bit...you know, leave off St. or something like that. Who knows...

Ditto at CD Universe for me as well. They actually emailed me and asked which one of several orders I placed that I'd want to have processed, and that they'd cancel the others since Google Checkout is only one order per person. Still the other orders just say "in process", though I did get an email on each one stating they were being "held for security" or something like that.

Obviously I would not recommend wasting your time at CD Universe from here on in.

My orders that have been canceled by the merchant doesnt update that the orders are canceled when I check to see at GCO. They all still say In Process when I look at the order history. However the merchant has canceled them.

It seems that if I cancel an order thru the GCO functions then it gets updated.

Not sure if GCO updates if you cancel directly thru the merchant and bypass GCO.

So is there any VISA gift cards or others similar to VISA GC that are very cheap to buy and use towards this deal? i know the damn fee would get in the way...but where can you find VISA GC or others?
