Speedy, I just realized that the laptops I purchased are the same one that you have listed in the President's Day Sale section, but, you have the price listed as $599.99, instead of $699.99. You may want to adjust that price, as it is listed in the ad as $699.99.

Again, thanks for all of the information you provide us! I greatly appreciate it, as does my Mom! =)

For anyone in Connecticut, Mudrick's Television and Appliance in Stratford has this set for just $1,098 through February 19.

This is why I provide a little disclaimer in my store notes section.

And while I do mistype, I'll always steer you to the best info / intel.

Ahhhhh.... the Mud Man strikes again. Good find!

Are you pulling the trigger then on this?

(Are you feeling better too?)

Nah, I just got the 42" from Costco. There are a lot of great deals on TVs right now. www.onecall.com has the Panny 50" PX60 on sale for $1490 this week and just last week they had the 42PX600 for $1150. I also noticed that Bernie's has the Toshiba 32HLC56 32" LCD on sale this week for just $600. It's a great time to be in the market for a new TV.

Thanks for asking about my cold. It thankfully only lingered for a couple of days.

Great to know that you are better.

I wish I had the room for a larger TV.

Ah, I see. I'm sorry. I just thought maybe you had mistyped it, and wanted to let you know. You are right, you always steer us to the best information. This is the first incident I've had where the price in the ad you have, doesn't match the price for my local area. That's very strange. I wonder why the discount is $100.00 cheaper in your area? (Just curious, not asking you to tell me why).

At any rate, I'm still a happy camper, and thank you for your help. =)

Too bad Once upon a time in America isn't on the list; every other time they did this sale, they had it and I missed it.

Many thanks speedy for the work!

has anyone tried this?

taking a 9.99 one from the circuit city ad, and price matching it with the buy 1 get 1? at best buy

you could probably do that. because they will honour that price, and then the deal automatically should come up in the system with the 2 eligible dvds. try it out, just make sure you're paying 9.99, and not 29.99 I am going to try tomorrow, with price-matching of goodfellas, and hoping to add yankee-doodle dandee to my cart as a free. it probably will not work, since the latter is still 19.99 at circuit city, but if there are 2 in circuit city's ad that are 9.99 PM them both at bestbuy and get them 2 for 9.99

usually will not work at best buy. they usually have these in as a package price and if you return one or try and change the price of one, the other reverts back to normal price. you would have MUCH better luck with this at circuit city as the do not usually package their BOGO items together the same way the best buy has it locked down...

i just noticed your post was yesterday...did it work today?

chileorgullo....Good luck with that one

As for what I got at BB today:

- The Prestige and Reign of Fire for $20 (I already have Equilibrium and I hated Gangs of New York, so $3 for ROF)
- Flushed Away with Plush Slug for $12.99 after coupon
- Down In The Valley $5
- SAW: Uncut Edition (Blood Case shown) $5 (though I'm not sure I got the blood case, mine is the 2 disc, but it is slightly different)

Overall I am happy.

Thanks Speedy!

Just a reminder to those who may have missed it, BB has the 3 Disc SciFi Channel Miniseries of Dune on sale for only $4.99. I remember the series was great and there appear to be alot of extras on the additional discs.

Thanks Speedy!

2 Free Blu-Ray DVDs instantly when you purchases the Sony Blu-Ray Disc player (BDPS1) & One Blu-Ray Disc // Choose from the titles listed above // Must be purchased on the same receipt // Sony Player Price = $999.99

Has anyone bought one of these and then taken it back, keeping the free movies?

I'm pretty sure they'll deduct the cost of the movies from the return amount.

I don't want to lecture you on the morality of this, but it wouldn't work. The free movies would be printed on the receipt. When you return it to BB, they'd want those movies back as well.

it doesn't work. they make the movies free and subtract that from the cost of the player. if you return the player and keep the movies, you get the decreased amount of the player. if you return the movies and keep the player, you will get $0 for the movie returns (they were free)...
