Better not be because I gave them my email address to even register. If there was a restriction, it should have been caught then and notified me that I was ineligible.

I entered in my email addy but it said that if I didn't get an invitation, then I'm not eligible for the offer. I don't think its because I'm in Germany because my account is registered in the US.

FWIW, paypal pays higher interest rates than most banks.

So I guess I can't get in on this, even though I've been a verified business member for years. Paypal has gone to crap ever since ebay took them over.

I was going to place an order with Overstock.com. Their Paypal option was missing; I looked it up in the help section, which says it's "temporarily unavailable" - anyone know how long it's been that way?

Overstock.com has not accepted paypal for quite a while. I do not know exactly how long, but probably around a year.

Thanks! I had a feeling "temporarily unavailable" meant something more like "indefinitely gone."

Well....they had a link to this promotion on their front page. So it shouldn't require an e-mail.

I am yet to receive my last rebate. Is anyone else still waiting for the $20 rebate from the end of last year?

Still waiting, and I do not expect to ever receive the rebate. If I thought it would do any good, I would call them up and complain, but I honestly think it would be a waste of my time.

Well, I just called.
The guy told me that I will not see the rebate until the end of March.
I asked, well, how will I know if I was eligible for the rebate, to which the guy said, if you bought something from a qualifying site within the timeframe allotted, then you will get the rebate.

So...I guess we have to wait until the end of March for our $20.

Nice of you to take the time to call. Well, the end of March will be here soon enough, so my fingers are crossed that a sweet notification that Paypal has sent me money shows up in my in-box before April 01 rolls around.

I think I am to understnad you have had 2 accounts for some time. But, if you set up another account, during this promotion, could you get the rebate? Would it matter if you use the same bank information, even if you use a different email account? Has anyone tried that?

Same here. Are those who are eligible chosen randomly to receive the email or what? The vagueness of how some qualify and some don't makes no sense to me at all. Can anybody clarify?

I use Paypal frequently, so maybe they figure they don't need to give me an incentive to do so.

It looks like those signing up for PayPal for the first time are getting this offer, right? I rarely use PayPal and I never got this offer, plus it won't let me do it through the weblink.

I've had a Payal account for years and received the email for the offer. I haven't used it much over the last several years and thought maybe that is why I received the invitation.

The offer was listed on their site, so I don't see why they are saying you have to have an email invitation. I signed up for it (fairly soon after this thread was posted... thanks OP!) through the link on their website and it accepted my address...
