I have a good number of those movies already... but I might pick up Sex is Zero. I highly recommend the Pinky Violence set along with the other 3 genre flicks.

Tom - any take on Ishii's (considering that it's essentially his) Angel Guts series or any of the other Arts Magic releases in a similar vain - ie.Love-Zero, Rafureshia, Survey Map of Paradise Lost, etc.? I can deal with some exploitation and darker films, but I have my limits. And based one what I've come across, these seem to run along the fringe of exploitation and not necessarily in a good way. I noticed by your collection that we share some similar tastes, that's why I ask ... (thanks in advance)

To the OP .. thanks for the head's up. I didn't get my local DDD email on this sale yet and I need to upgrade a couple titles.

I've looked at the Angel Guts series... especially the boxset. Each time there's a sale, I think about pulling the trigger. I'll probably eventually get it. As to the other movies you mentioned, I have not checked them out... but I will now :)

Edit: I do have Sato's Splatter: Naked Blood, so I might have to check some of these out. It has some very well-done gore effects and some scenes are very disturbing.

Why are they doing this to me with all these sales at the same time, I can't even get my cart under $190 and I still have 20+ in the too watch pile. Why DDD?

I'm more into the yakuza/crime theme than the blood n guts, so would the Black Society Trilogy be a good purchase?

Just thought I'd let you know I made an order yesterday and these 3 were part of the order. I'll let ya know how they are once they arrive.... hopefully in a week.

The Black Society Trilogy is pretty darned good. I'm a big Takashi Miike fan. If you're into yakuza films with a touch of the weird, check out some of Miike's other films like the Dead or Alive trilogy.

Huh, that Young Thugs 2 pack is cheaper than even one of those movies individually.

I would like to recommend Wild Zero to anyone and everyone.
Probably the only movie about an obscure band of Japanese...punks? no, something. Fighting zombies.
Includes a hermaphrodite as an added bonus.

Seriously weird, but entertaining movie.

I went ahead and ordered Young Thugs 1/2 along with some other stuff. My only concern right now is that I ordered the stuff last night and still have not recieved an email confirmation of the order. Maybe it's taking longer because of the move or something?

I wouldn't worry just yet. Have you checked online to see if the order is there?

The status of the order itself is "Processing" and the statuses of the individual items within the order is "Sourced." I've never seen that before-- "sourced." Kinda weird.

Yeah, mine said "sourced" for each item the day before the order shipped. It's probably something new we'll need to get used to.

There are a bunch I want, but I have to wait. My current obsession is completing the Soul Cinema collection, I've for 12 or order, I own three, and that still leaves 7 or 8 IIRC. After that it is back to Asia, there are a couple flicks on that list I covet.
