I bought bunch of dvds in July 2006 semi annual sale. None of the new dvd sets were (e.g. latest extreme engineering, discovery atlas etc.) on sale. They are still not included in this sale. It is mostly CLEARANCE sale. Most single dvds are sold without any pictures/description with boiler plate blue dvd cover as shown at web-site. Most of single dvds are outdated and 50 minutes dvds. They should not be priced more than $4. I don't know why they show $9.95 as price and show that it is on sale for $4.99. One more thing, some of these single dvds are included in dvd sets (e.g. extreme engineering). For DISCOVERY management, it would be better to put dvd SETs on sale (with 60% - 80% off) than single dvds. Buy it with caution.

Thanks for this. Just picked up a bunch for my dad. He needs something to watch while he's at work (a vet who works at the local dogtrack, so he pretty much sits down in his office and watches dvd's the whole time unless a dog gets hurt ).

I think during the last sale I bought every dinosaur and space dvd they had. This time I limited my spending to just these 2 and I vow I will not keep checking back on the site (unless I see something added to this thread that I really want and then I will forget about my meaningless pledge)

Thanks for the reminder, bwsmom. I was excited to see all the season two episodes of Mythbusters were added to the sale, then disappointed to see they raised the prices for them to $7.99 (up $3 each). Thus, I'll just wait and hope a cheap box set comes out.

I did see they added Mythbusters: The Pilots for $4.99, which is my only purchase from this sale.
