Whew! Thanks for the notice...glad I finally pulled the trigger. Had thought about getting 2 Buffy collections at the time but thought that made me look like a 'dealer' and the clerks might not be so helpful. Still very happy with the deal & plan to go back for more goodies. Just wish the prices didn't keep fluctuating so much. Guess next time I'll try to get as many on my want list as possible before the prices change.

sorry if this was answered, but I dont wanna read 12 pages or so here.
I know the deal is for 29.99 and above box sets. But can the free dvd be under 30, say a 26.98 dvd set?
Seeing as thats the free one, it shouldn't matter, no?

I have had no problem using the MC coupon several times in a row.

The 10% off expires today and so does the MC 10.00 off.

Hopefully they will issue some new coupons to sweeten the deal.

You would be lucky to find a tv boxset at B&N for less than 30 dollars.

I'm happy

Picked up BSG 2.0 and 2.5 using the MC $10 off coupon. They're a bit lower online now, both $31.48 (not BOGO), but I saw no real advantage doing the ship to home. Mine were $49.99 - 10% in store - 10% member - $10 coupon BOGO plus tax for a grand total of: $33.02. I can live with $16.51 apiece!

I also got to use the 15% off one item coupon I got with my membership on Red Dwarf 7 and 8 - they worked out to $33.54 for both. I paid around $35 for the earlier seasons 2-packs on Amazon a while back, so it looked good to me.

Finally, started out online with the BOGO and MC coupon, picking up the Brisco County Jr set and Rome season 1 for about $40 each, a good $20-30 off DVDPricesearch's lowest online prices.

As I said, I'm happy. OTOH, I don't know whether to celebrate or curse the day I found the DVD Bargains forum!

Well, you could have added a $9 item with the BSG sets, and your total would have been LESS than what you paid with Ship to Home. $40.48 - 10% member - $10=$26.43 +tax, so approx. $28 total. You spent an extra $5 and coulda had another $9 item for free... As for the 15% off coupon, you would have actually saved more with the $10 coupon for any items priced $69.99 or less. But if your store only allowed the $10 coupon to be used once, then I understand... But as long as you're happy with what you paid, that's all that matters... I only mention it so others can see ways to save more...

Actually, I saw many tv box sets for 29.99. True, the majority are not, but if you look carefully enough, they are there...

FYI, the quantum leap seasons are priced higher in stores (59.99 on S2, 49.99 on S3, dunno about the rest). But the MSRP on their website is 44.98. So ship to home is definitely a better deal on those...

I thought about getting those as well, but I passed. I realized that i bought 34 box sets with the B1G1F sale so far. That is way more than I planned on buying...

None of the B&N's around me carry DVD's. Does anyone know if the DVD-less B&N's will still do a Ship To Home on this deal?

Im assuming your filthy rich? Sadly, i could only afford to pick up seasons 6 and 8 of Andy griffith. Although I could afford the twilight zone set with the 15% coupon on a seperate order.

You're right. B&N changed the prices and avaiability of the Simpsons sets. Last week, Season 9 was the only season that was not part of the deal and the other Seasons were priced higher (Season 8 was $49.95, now it's $38.xx).

Anyway, I was able to place a ship-to-home order yesterday for the Lisa and Maggie head versions of season 8 and 9 and the cashier honored both the 2 for 1 deal and the $10 coupon.

You're half-right... I'm filthy... Well, I spent a lot more than I should have. But with 34 sets, I only paid for 17 of them. And 2 of them I returned with receipts from previous purchases. So I'm really out of pocket for only 15. Two Buffy sets and one Twilight Zone is headed to Ebay to help pay for these purchases. So when all is said and done, the damage isn't too bad...

I will mourn this coupon. There was so much more I would have bought. But it's probably a good thing that it ended. It was the devil coupon...

I wish there had been more sets I hadn't bought before so I could have bought them in this sale.
