Mine is still in the shipping soon status, but it's been broken down into 2 different orders.

Perkinsun Dzees 12-23-06 08:39 PM

Out of my fifty orders only 36 have shipped.

If they end up shipping everything, I'll be getting 100 DVD sets for a total of $5.63. -eek-

These are going to make great Christmas presents for family and friends.

Not gonna happen Amazon... If it won't work with "standard" players I don't need it. Plus when you consider that almost all dl services (music and video) charge as much or more than "boxed" for an inferior product I won't even do a "free" dl. It sends the message that you're willing to dl rather than purchase boxed product.

I'd love to get in on this deal for all of the KOQ, but everything shipping to Canada seemed to have all prices correct. If anyone wanted to help a Canadian out by picking up the set for me, this being Christmas and all, I'd appreciate it :)

i hope your not serious

I am crying now....I guess that's what I get for not visiting DVDtalk earlier today....

Perkinsun Dzees 12-23-06 08:52 PM

Man this was even better than the Suncoast deal back in the day. In the Suncoast deal you could choose any DVD on their site, but you had to pay $16 for it. In this Amazon deal the selection was rather limited, but it's hard to beat getting TV box sets for free.

For some reason, this quote comes to mind when I think about your order...

"You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing."

The first part of the quote is necessary to make the rest make sense, but it's the last two lines that I thought of immediately. Some might be mad, I'm just impressed.

I placed eleven orders (22 sets) and all have shipped! Yes, Virginia...there is a Santa Claus.

RobCA 12-23-06 09:00 PM

Both of my orders are showing as "shipping soon", but they removed one of the items (227: Season 1) from my second order. Fortunately, they gave me half the discount on the other item in the order (The Nanny: Season 2), so it looks like I'll be getting it for 53¢. :D The funny thing about it is, I didn't even want the other item all that much, but I had to pick something.

Thanks a MILLION to the op, best deal I have ever gotten in on!

Out of my 227 orders only 187 have shipped. :( Yes I know I'm a jerk for placing so many orders but it's survival of the fittest, right? At least I was smart enough to use free shipping.

I was thinking the exact same thing. If he is serious, then my ass bleeds for him for only getting 72 box sets for free.

FeelingGreat 12-23-06 09:15 PM

well, there is no free lunch

hope you guys are not back charged later on though

also, I think if they lose money on this, then prices on other items will probably go up, so somebody pays for it in the end

Don't count your chickens...Amazon has been known to recall shipments and also send the UPS guy to your door asking for packages back. Both of these have happened to me.

Hey, aren't you the guy who placed 227 orders?!? And you're warning me about counting my chickens?!?

The deal has been dead for hours now.

Yeah, paying $70 for 82 box sets is for the birds.;)

As far as I know, recalling USPS shipments is not possible/plausible (assuming they've actually been processed at the post office), though it may be for UPS. As for asking for the package back, I'd imagine that you'd be under no obligation to comply.

Brent L 12-23-06 09:33 PM

If anyone ever asked me for a package back, I'd just laugh my ass off and then slam the door in their face.

To quote Eric Cartman, I would tell the UPS guy to suck my balls. I would then release the hounds.

Yeah, I'd be like "What package? I didn't get any steenking packages!"

True. Good thing Amazon isn't the only DVD site around. :)

Brent L 12-23-06 09:46 PM

Is it horrible of me that I'm wishing that even better sets were included in the sale?
