You don't need to bring the items, just the receipt.
(I'll be bringing my receipts for The Wire S1 & S2, Ali G Complete, & Sex/City Complete).
Check the policy HERE for yourself or just read this...

What if I find a lower price at another Best Buy store or on BestBuy.com?
If an item you purchased at Best Buy is advertised at a lower price at another Best Buy store in your local area or on BestBuy.com within 30 days of your original receipt purchase (14 days for select categories*, 60 days for HDTVs purchased from 11/26/06 through 2/5/07), we will refund you 100% of the price difference. Simply bring in your original Best Buy receipt to the customer service counter while that lower price is still in effect. Clearance items, open-box items or Web-exclusive offers advertised on BestBuy.com are not eligible for price matching.

I don't know why some of you are so worried about this.

Just make sure that the doorman puts a pink tag on the set so that they know that you didn't take it off of the shelf.

Well, I suppose the 50% off HBO titles explains why Sopranos Season 6 Part 1 was $83.99 tonight at our local BB when last week it was $60 something. X_x

well, on the bestbuy website Rome first season is $83.99 and even half off it is not much cheaper than getting it at buy.com using google checkout, factoring in the tax you pay

Carnivale is also very expensive

I have never seen any episodes of the Sopranos, I have only heard good reviews about this show. Is season 6 the last season?

You're in for a treat. Season 6 is the final season, but the set is just for the first half of season 6. The concluding half of the season(and series) will air on HBO in 2007.

I'm curious to know this as well... How would one provide the price since the ad (I assume) only says 50% off rather than an actual price. Would they use the price on bestbuy.com ($229.99) or will the site have the price w/ 50% off? I paid $143.xx and would like to get it PM'd down to $115...

HBO deal apparently is available on line but the prices as of 1:15 AM not all items reflect the discount .

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....questid=136145

Price are changing as I write this. Sex and the City complete series is now $99.99 when a minute ago it was still $199 .99

They are slowly updating their site. BOB is currently showing up as $33.99. The first 4 seasons of 24 is now $19.99, but season 5 is still $57.99 as of now.

EDIT: And season 5 is now $19.99 as well. I think that I'll pay the $1.79 shipping for season 5 and avoid the crowds on Christmas Eve(well worth the $1.79, IMO).

should you order online the HBO boxsets and do instore pickup to ensure that you get it? Also, ifyou do that will you be charged right away?

I hear that the prices of HBO boxsets can vary a lot from the onine price and I think it is cheaper. Would it be more advantageous to buy instore then since 50% off instore prices will be cheaper than the online prices.

1) Yes order online if you don't need them for Christmas.
2) Ordering for instore does not mean you are going to get it. They still have to have an employee pull your order and if there is a rush of people in the morning before your order is pulled then they will notget it.
3) Your card is authorized, but not charged until you pick up the product.
4) The online price is the instore price for BestBuy.

The prices I see listed as the "full" price online (before the 50% off) exactly match what I saw in-store about 4 hours ago (Sopranos, The Wire, SFU, Carnivale, Deadwood, Rome)

I wanted to pick up From The Earth To The Moon for $29 but, according to the online inventory, none are available instore at any local BB.

Besides, it's less than $2 shipping... so I pulled the trigger. Not a bad price.

I want to Six Feet Under complete series and Rome first season. I add item to art and click instore pickup for a local bestbuy. Is there a chance that it will not be availbe for me to pickup when I get there. I plan to be there at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM. When you place order for pickup are they holding a copy for you so you are guaranteed to get it??

Is it worth getting the complete SFU even if I already have season 2? Love the show, just don't know what the market for S2 is like. Also, hit up Ali G and 24 S5 at that price, seems insane. Does BoB still come in a fancy tin?

Yes, the complete series is worth it at the price of $115.
You get all four seasons you don't have and two soundtracks.
#Edit# There is no real market for seasons. I checked out eBay and amazon before this sale started. Either pay it forward or go to Gamestop.

BoB still comes in the tin.

Ordered:
24: Season 4 and 5
Ali G: Complete Series

Paid for the shipping because $5 and change is worth way less than driving to the store and dealing with people.

Shipping seems like a bargain. I was at a BB today and it was horrible. Besides inventory could leave you empty-handed at store maybe.
The SFU case is very attractive I think; and yes, BoB's I saw on shelf today come in the tin case.

I ordered 25: Season 5 for $21-something shipped. Shipping was $1.79, so I took that.
