Simpsons season 9
I stopped by my local FYE(houston area) on friday, and saw that they had Simpsons season 9 Lisa Head already out. They're $39.99 with a $10 Mail in rebate($29.99 AR). Its supposed to come out on Tues, but the flyer in the store said it has a release date of 12/12, so I guess thats why they're selling it early. I'm sure most people can wait til tues, but if you cant you can probably pick it up early over there. I went ahead and picked it up since I have their 10% discount card and I couldn't resist picking it up before the release date.

Fye.com lists it at $24.99 after $10 rebate. The rebate seems to be good for online purchases only.
DVD Planet's $24.96 price with GCO is about the same, but with no rebates to deal with.

Does anyone think Costco will have the same $19.99 after instant rebate deal as the last 2 seasons?
All I know is after watching all the other Simpsons seasons drop under $20 within a year, there's no way I'm paying more than $20 for S9. Fortunately I don't care about the "head" boxes, so as long as the normal boxes don't disappear then I'll be fine waiting.
I remember people told me not to wait on Firefly when it was $17.88. Just recently it was $9.29 AR, so waiting usually pays off. I don't feel like I'm missing as much in the later Simpsons episodes.

Thanks. I guess I didn't continue far enough into the checkout process before bailing.

DVDPlanet doesn't seem to show the Lisa Head package though, so do they only offer the box version?
I notice Buy.com has a higher price for the Lisa Head packaging ($44.06 compared to $37.99 for the regular box) when it's still the same DVDs inside, does that mean the collectors of the shaped boxes are gonna start getting gouged now?
