A few Costco prices 12/12

Not much added this week, though the $10 off the WB Classic DVD sets is great if you don't already have them.

They dropped the price on the 2 Charlie Chan Collections to $29.99, and also had the Mr. Moto, Marilyn Monroe, Will Rogers, & Betty Grable collections for that price as well.

Also saw the new 2-disc Sony set of Columbia Buster Keaton shorts for $16.39.

No trace of the new Disney True-Life Adventures yet.

I'm heading over to take advantage of the $10-off Johnny Carson set for my dad for Christmas.

Thanks, Escapist!

I also noticed Alien Quadrilogy for $31.99, pretty good price.

Tolhurst 12-12-06 05:32 PM

Alien Quadrilogy is marked at 31.99, but it's actually ringing up at 21.99 (I just bought one yesterday in Portland!)

21.99 is a steal in my opinion

For some reason, I'm considering picking it up and then dumping my four 2-disk releases on ebay. Wonder if its worth it.

MFRONE 12-12-06 10:47 PM

The Costco I work at in Columbus has a bunch of Smallville seasons and One Tree Hill seasons for under $15.

Plus I saw shows like The O.C., Nip/Tuck and Invasion were on sale for under $25.

Brent_MN 12-12-06 11:06 PM

One Tree Hill! I am gonna go to the one in Tustin, CA tomorrow and see if it's there. Thanks!

Has anyone else tried to pick up the Alien boxset? Is it running for $20 at other stores?

I'm about to leave to go check it out. I'll post when I come back (unless someone else beats me to it).

Yes, 31.99 with a 10 dollar "coupon" discount, no coupon needed. Is this an unadvertised sale, and are there other sets with a similar discount?

I'm in Southern California, by the way.

Sabrett 12-13-06 05:15 PM

I just picked one up, too. I went to the Costco in Queens, NY. Mine only had about 3 of them. There's no sign saying there is a sale, it just comes off at the register.

They had some cool Limited Edition Gift Sets, too.....Walk the Line, Office Space and Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I might spring for the Walk The Line boxset for $7 off - if there are any left by then.

Thank you!! I was thinking of going back and picking it up, but now I'll wait until the 18th. I hope mine gets more in, though...they didn't have many.

Confirmed at the Irvine, CA Costco. They had at least 6 or 7 left. I already have Alien 2-disc and Aliens 2-disc, but this was too good of a deal to pass up.

silvernackle 12-13-06 08:48 PM

i also saw the green mile 2-disc se, one flew over the cuckoo's nest 2-disc se, the color purple 2-disc se, and lots more for $8.99 each. looney tunes golden collection part 3 costs $26.99.

IamLegend 12-13-06 10:20 PM

alien anthology for $21.99-was a great deal at twice that years ago..

Sabrett 12-13-06 10:22 PM

Am I the only one that thinks that the Alien Quadrilogy for $21.99 deserves it's own thread for people that might not check up on the Costco thread?
