Here in MN, Hellsing Ultimate DVDs are on On Order for most of the stores (20+)! This is probably happening in other states as well! I was told that stores should be gradually getting them in throughout the week! As mentioned before there were three distinctive UPCs for the regular version ($19.99, online only!), version on the ad (Reg. $24.99 & on sale for $22.99), stores should be getting quite a few these), and the limited edition ($42.99, very few)! I get the feeling that the version on sale is not the limited edition!

I also called my local Suncoast and they told me that their shipment of Hellsing Ultimate is delayed indefinitely!

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to pass on this deal. I just got Volume 1 through the Gonzo Double Pack deal. I'm sure a Funimation box set is planned for the near future and my guess is that it will have a street price of around $60(a la Kiddy Grade).

Someone at AOD has verified this: "So the $22.99 isn't a misprint in Best Buy's ad. It actually is the limited version. But it's a Best Buy exclusive in that the figurine is not included but you're still getting all the limited edtion features for the regular edition price." Another pointed out, "I even noticed that if you purchased 2 Geneon DVDs in the store BB took off an additional $10, making it $17.99 for an LE version. If you buy 2 of the same DVD it also counts."

Thanks for the kiosk trick...My 34.xx Last Exile LE boxset with figure and mouse pad that i ordered in-store Saturday arrived today. Not a bad deal at all for a series I have been wanting to check out.

I went 2 of my local BB and double checked on the versions of Hellsing Ultimate. I wasn't successful getting the LE with the figure for $22.99.

- The Hellsing Ultimate version featured on the store ad is a Best Buy exclusive.
- The Best Buy exclusive is on sale for $22.99 (reg. $24.99), the save $10 off 2 Geneon DVD titles work with this as well.
- It's the exact same release as the 2-disc limited edition, but without the Arucard Relief Figurine with US-Exclusive Coloring.
- Any attempt of price overriding on the LE with figure ($42.99 => $22.99) by the cashier will require manager approval. The packaging is different enough that unless you find an incomptent manager at your local store, you won't be able to get the $22.99 price.
- For those who want to get the Best Buy exclusive for $22.99, check BestBuy.com (store pickup) to see if your local store has it. This feature is surprisingly accurate for this title. Once you're at the store, you would very likely have to get an employee to check for the title, since the actual stock is very likely still in their receiving/backstock area as stores are gradually getting the DVDs in this week.

You may want to also try pricematching at any other store that offers the service. If the store sees the cover & "collector packaging" they may price match it.

Definitely not true. It has its unique appeal, and an ending that rocks as well. I personally wasn't interested in a show with a desert setting, but found myself loving it.

I think when it comes down to it, the show has plenty of unique appeal. If you enjoy boob jokes, a main character who's a selfish a-hole, and a fairly well written show that's action is reminiscent to Trigun, this is pretty much a must see. All in all it's pretty funny, surprisingly well written for for something out of Gonzo, and has a unique ending. Even if it doesn't go down as one of the must sees of anime, it was surprisingly awesome for myself.

Fun show. Worth a try.
