Ultimate Matrix Collection Limited Edition Collector's Set - $29.99 @ Suncoast

I saw today at a nearby Suncoast, the OOP The Ultimate Matrix Collection Limited Edition Collector's Set (The Matrix / Reloaded / Revolutions / Revisited / The Animatrix) that includes the NEO Bust for $29.99.

Nice price for the set. My only complain here is that I noticed that since Transworld bought Suncoast, Sam Goody, etc, they have risen the prices $10 over retail for almost every item. These stores were already expensive enough with the $5 over retail pricing, how the hell are they going to survive with the new price range? Transworld doesn't seem to learn from the mistakes that the retailers they are purchasing made.

The table mostly had TV show sets but did have a few movie sets like The Oliver Stone Collection (Was over $100 originally, now $39.99) and Die Hard Collection. I saw Firefly, Honeymooners, Some early Simpsons seasons, Family Guy and alot more. Just look for the Buy 1 Get 1 Free stickers.....

TWO for $30? Wow, I thought I did good getting it for $35 about a year ago.

I would hate to be one of the people who paid the $100+ original price for that set.

Are your sure that's not $29.99/each? I saw the sticker price as $54.99 for one box, so two boxes would be $27.50/each + taxes. Scanning the items for this BOGO sale at their kiosk comes up with no pricing. Just wondering if you actually paid $29.99 total for two, making the final price of $15.00/each.

Yes, I am saying this correctly. I paid $31.48 for 2 sets. The price was $29.99 plus sales tax and I walked out of FYE with 2 sets. They just marked the set down while I was there....

So you are saying that Neo is not the One, he is the Two?

Aren't the sets going fairly cheap on Ebay and Amazon.com? If I knew I could have flipped them I would have bought them all! They had at least 4 more when I got my 2 yesterday!

Personally, I passed up the Limited Edition set for the normal Ultimate Matrix Collection box set, which was under $30 at Buy.com a couple of weeks ago using Google Checkout. I am already short on space, and the normal box set is nice and compact. I've seen the Limited Edition at fye, and about 90% of them were cracked, had trays falling in on themselves, and were generally in tatters. Didn't seem worth the trouble to me.

If I myself got 2 Ultimate Matrix sets for $30, I'll definitely be like "Whoa!".

Thanks to the OP and Wildo! I can confirm FYE does in fact have this as part of a buy 1, get one free sale in South Florida. I picked up The Matrix set and South Park S.7 this evening for $52 and change!

I looked at it as either getting SP for $20, or the Matrix set for free. Either way, it worked for me
