Both are great, though with the sale you're getting a better deal on the HOMICIDE set. Fox discounts the NYPD sets all the time. Therefore, my recommendation would be HOMICIDE.

Both shows are amazing and highly recommended.

HOMICIDE wasn't really on long enough to get bad.

NYPD started out fantastic, and while it stayed decent throughout its run, it lost a little something by the end.

I think you have to get a RMA number from them or else you may be hit with a penalty fee. When I had to return defective DVDs to them, the shipping agreement notes that penalties (20% or so?) will apply to merchandise returned without specific authorization. I don't know what'll happen if you decline to accept delivery.

they are very similar show except they are in diff city....

Homicide by a mile. As good as NYPD Blue is at its best, Homicide is better in just about every department.

just curious what was the consensus for aspect ration on the 3 packs? I picked up Free Willy 1, 2, &3 but upon reading the back, it says side a is full screen on all of them. Does that mean the widescreen is on the back or is it only one sided? Thanks

Same thing here - I placed 3 orders today, the first ones I have placed since the sale started, and the last since it's over in about an hour. It's been about 12 hours and I haven't received any email confirmation and the orders aren't showing up on the order status page.

I printed the order confirmation pages I got after I checked out, so I'm hoping if for some reason their computer doesn't have the orders I can use that as proof and they will honor it. Hopefully Customer service will be open tomorrow.

There is a link on the voice message page you mentioned that comes up when you check out to skip that offer and go directly to your order confirmation - did you happen to do that and print the confirmation? If not, your order was still placed (or technically, should have been), but you may have trouble proving it if indeed their system has a bug or something and your order didn't go through. However, I imagine a lot of other people had the same problem so if it turns out to be an issue, they will probably honor it. Just don't clear your browser history/cache - you may be able to retrieve some of the checkout pages if needed. If you placed the orders and got to the order completed page, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

However, if all else fails, the DVDPlanet 20% off sale is on for a couple more days and the prices are about the same (much lower in a few cases), so there's alway that safety net.

Thanks,
but how would i retrieve the pages, I am pretty computer savvy and cant locate them........I didnt really think about saving proof at the time of order, i always get a confirmation pretty fast, figured it would show up rather quick. I remember most of the titles but might might be mindblanking on a few, been trying to do a best buy personal assistant order at the same time to take advantage of black friday stuff..........kinda on DVD overload, try ing to remember all the stuff i am ordering, all the stuff already got, etc......

Last Order

I just placed an order 10 minutes ago and got an automated e-mail from DDD right away.

Item Description Quantity Price
------------- ---------------------------------------- -------- -----
DDMGD002332D CARRIE (SPECIAL EDITION) 1 $7.66
DDMGD002333D DRESSED TO KILL 1 $7.66
DDBVD019573D MISSION TO MARS 1 $7.55
DDMCA022496D THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE 1 $7.54
DDCOL007603D FOLLOWING `1 $4.84
DDPRD332614D WONDER BOYS 1 $4.82
------------- ---------------------------------------- -------- -----
Order Total: $40.07

I'm guessing the above discussion is regarding the email that's supposed to include the "confirmation number" of the order. That one will probably arrive sometime Friday.
