Can you refuse media mail sent via the USPS? Seems like the only way would be to camp out at your mailbox and tell the postman that you don't want them to put it in your mailbox. Is there any other "official" way?

Got my Monty Python 16-ton megaset today... was surprised to see it was the best buy exclusive version (with free fan guide inside). I was also shocked that Poison Ivy triple feature is ONE disc (every website says 2) and FULL SCREEN. I am bummed...

Hooray, the james bond sets just arrived. Took a week and a day, which for 43 bucks each is really not at all bad.

Yeah, you don't have to physically refuse anything. You can just right refuse on it and drop it off at the Post Office or in a box. I imagine you can just leave it for the mailman the next day as well.

I just received my boxed order of 8 DVDs in the mail today, but the Forbidden Planet (just the 2-disk version, not the ultimate pack) DVD was not shrink-wrapped! Geez, it looked like a USED DVD mixed in with my order. Are there any inserts or anything I should look for to be sure they're not missing?

The copy of Some Like it Hot that they sent me is missing half of the spine as if from a utility knife -- underneath the shrinkwrap. Not pleased with the quality shipping out of DDD this go-round.

I had a peculiar experience. I received the two DVDs I bought today, but they also included a copy of the four disc Kingdom of Heaven set that I hadn't ordered. My bill wasn't altered in any way, however. I suppose I could try and send it back, but perhaps they just wanted to reward my loyal patronage with a free DVD.

I received my Forbidden Planet today with no shrink wrap and no inserts. There's a Forbidden Planet thread under DVD Talk which reports finding a similar lack of shrink wrap at some Targets and Best Buys.

DDFXD037235D HOME ALONE FAMILY FUN EDITION 1 $11.31
DDMCA029375D BATTLESTAR GALACTICA-SEASON 2.0 1 $29.03

If anyone is on the fence about Battlestar Galatica or really wants a sci fi epic with soul...jump in and make the blind buy! I went in blind based on not finding even one negative review and
agree this is so "f-ing" great as a series. Better then even 24 and Firefly in my book and love those shows. The more people who buy the series means bettter chance for continuing the saga. "So say we all".

But who would have to pay the return shipping?

Hey, thanks. That info (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=484147) helped ease my mind about that DVD at least.

One previous sale I contacted them about a price match, they responded around 4 days later. It was to Amazon.com and the order was over $25 yet they still wanted to charge me shipping.

Got my stuff in today. A little banged up and my Prince Valiant case was broken. Man does that case suck

I also emailed them get a pricematch, I guess I wont be hearing from them either. I even pointed out the over $25 thing but they dont care.

For anybody who ordered and received HOMICIDE The Complete Series from DDD, was the packaging intact or were there dents, etc?! Thanks.

DDD is supposed to send my copy out in the next few days and it'll ship with Media Mail, and we all know those packages don't get very good care sometimes.

SpineBreaker: My Homicide is in perfect condition. I was a little worried, what with that monstrous set, another box set, and two other DVDs coming in the same shipment, but everything arrived nicely.

If the package is UNOPENED just write "Refused, return to sender" on the outside. I don't know if the PO just "eats" the return shipping or whether the person/company who sent the package pays the return shipping but I do know it isn't you. If you open the package then you'll have to pay return shipping.

I got one of my orders the other day and the Werner Herzog set was impacted by something; crushed one of the slim packs breaking little pieces off and causing that disc to pop off the hub and suffering abrasion in the shipping. My copy of Boccaccio '70 in the same order had the nylon hinged cover almost completely broken off but I think that might be related to an very large folded booklet insert which seemed too big for the case. I'll probably return the Herzog for a new one.

The exact same thing happened to me, but they sent me a copy of Mr.Nice Guy lol. I would have rather gotten Kingdom of Heaven.

Interesting. I just got my Herzog set yesterday too. Although the shipping box looked okay, the set inside was crushed. Since they don't compensate for return shipping, most of the 20% I saved flew away.
