To anybody who's ordered the Twilight Zone set - does your order status give you a date when it is expected in stock???

No problem. I also had it in my hands when Media Play was going out of business, but I put it back because I figured it would still be there after their next price drop. This is the best price I have ever seen for it, though.

Silly question but here it goes. If DDD pricematches an Amazon price do they allow the 20% off on top of the pricematch?

Placed my order about 14 hours ago shortly after midnight. I have received the first e-mail saying what i ordered and and that i will receive another email for confirmation. On the DDD site it says my order is in process. I ordered $900+ worth of stuff so maybe the confirmation is taking a little extra time. Does anybody know if this Is this normal? I usually get confirmation not long after I place the order. Has anyone else had this happen?

No.
They also add shipping costs of their competitors when doing price matching.

Strange that they price match including shipping. Amazon has free shipping, just as DDD, so why?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Amazon has free shipping, DDD will match their price with free shipping. It's only if the other retailer has shipping charges that DDD will include these in the price match.

Per my exchange with rennervision on the previous page, both of us are going on FIVE days now awaiting shipment. RV's order was $570 and mine was $928. I wonder if DDD's staff are paid according to the number of transactions they complete? That might result in short orders getting preferential treatment.

James Bond Ultimate Collection Vol 1 + Following

I'm trying to get a Wii later on, a couple items on BF, and the Superman Box set, so I can't spend too much on this. Thoughts?

First first line of DDD's lowest price promise...

DeepDiscountDVD.com guarantees offering the lowest total price on any individual, in stock, DVD of any other online retailer of DVDs.

Now, they get themselves out of having to match prices on merchandise during the semi-annual sale but I believe that the prices should be (at least .01) cheaper than the next available retailer from the get-go.

They may have not raised prices as suggested in years past, but they certainly haven't lowered them to match their competition's prices this week.

Some examples:
History of Violence is $14.79 total at DVDPacific.com ($20.67 at DDD)
Six Feet Under the Complete Series is $181.28 total at BestBuy.com ($195 at DDD)
Smallville Seasons 1-3 are each $18.99 total at HookMeUpHomeTheater.com ($29.87 each at DDD)

These are just three examples of titles onsale at various B+Ms that I looked up.

I just feel that if they really want to stand by the first sentence in their promise then they should.

Do any fellow DVDTalkers feel this is too much to ask?

DDD staff have any comments?

Get the one you're more likely to rewatch. For me that would be the Bond films.

I remember them price matching right and left during past 20% off sales (in the DVDtalk thread as I recall). Has this changed?
