Anyone know when they add new releases (11/14) to their site, and the time zone? I'll be up somewhat late tonight and I'd rather place my order tonight instead of the morning, all of my purchases are new releases. Thanks!

Hmm, thanks. I was hoping there was a specific time, like like 30 minutes after midnight ET, or within 15 minutes of midnight CST, or something like that. I'm hoping I don't have to refresh the site all night, but hopefully I won't have to do it much.

Somebody wants to be the first one on the block with the Oldboy tin.

If memory serves(the last time that I did this was the November 2005 sale), the pre-orders became in-stock items around 12:30 Eastern.

Thanks for scoop. the Oldboy tin is yours if you want it... I don't even know what it is. I want to pickup the Friends Complete Series Collector's set and DuckTales and Gummi Bears. Problem is... my wife goes to bed early and I can order at night, but it's more difficult in the morning b/c we're both up she'll know I'm ordering something and I leave for work before she does. I really don't need to spend the money on the Friend set, but hey, for just under $150, how can ya pass. It's $15/season plus the box and book and stuff. Like someone else said in another forum... it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

Has anyone been able to find Duck Tales season 2 at DDD? I can't even get the search engine to pull up season 1.

Ducktales Vol. 2

Had it in my wishlist so I didn't check the search engine.

I have been told that those sets are sorta OOP right now. The rights for them have have been picked up again by a new company and they'll more than likely release all of them again as early as January 2007. That might be why DDD doesn't have them on the site right now, while other online sites still do.

Absolutely the Garland version, AFI ranking or no. It's about time I replace the VHS I taped years ago off TCM.

I got my order already! I ordered Thursday night and it was waiting for me when I got home from work. They messed it up though. I ordered Seasons 1-7 of Deep Space 9 and they sent me The Next Generation instead :\

Epitafios is a good show, but the DVD set is non-anamorphic.

Geez, even with 20% off, their $20.57 price on "The Outsiders: The Complete Novel" only equals Amazon's AFTER shipping price of $16.45. I may as well buy it there and get more Amazon points towards a $25 GC. Unless they are price matching on top of the 20%, did anyone say for sure if they were?

2nd order:

Brazil (3D/Criterion) - $33.51
Mission Impossible 3 (2d/CE) - $17.68
Tales from the Crypt-3rd Season - $23.99

Total - $75.18

I saved $24 with the sale. Not too shabby.

Received my Three's Company Season 8 today(11/13) after ordering it late Thursday evening on 11/9. That was fast! It arrived in perfect shape, thanks DDD!

Edit to say- my shipping method was the "free shipping" option so I was very suprised to receive it today. DDD sent it "presorted Standard" via USPS.

To follow up on my earlier post (number 145 in this thread), I just got off the phone with DDD's Customer Service, and ultimately thanked the CS rep that she will be informing the folks who complete the orders that they have a slightly paranoid customer who wants to make sure his order is not stuck in limbo.

She did let me know that for some reason, DDD is running behind (they are a bit slower than usual) on taking care of the orders this year (the holiday over the weekend did not help, but still, the CS rep did tell me that she actually could understand why I might want to call to make sure that my order does get noticed sooner rather than later), after all, I usually receive a shipping notice for in-stock items, at most, 2-3 days after placing an order, but we are going on 4+ days with no new e-mails besides the one I received when the order was placed.

I should be receiving an e-mail soon, and she gave me an order number (supposedly, even if I was not informed the order was ready/being prepped for shipment by e-mail, my order was sent to the folks who pick the dvds to fulfill orders, so hopefully, I will not have to wait until 11/22 before my Mash Complete Set order goes through, because I know that item is now OOS, but was in-stock when I placed the order).

I was wondering why there was not DDD help thread in the store forum like there was in the last sale and looked up the screen name he was using deepdiscountdvd and there were some in the recent threads for this sale. I did not actually look through them so I guess it could be someone else if they were using the deepdiscountdvd.

They factor in the price of shipping from competators, so if they are cheaper after the price of shipping is added in from the competator, they will not price match. I wanted this done during the last sale with the Night of the Living Dead millennium verison (It was only $13 something on Amazon during DDD's last sale), but they would not price match it.
