I had a situation where I removed some items from my cart. Instead of removing the listing completely as it usually did when you updated cart it said quantity ordered 0 . Price $0.
Well the order shipped and the items I removed from cart shipped also. Of course I was billed for them. So now I have to go to the trouble of returning the items when i receive them.

ok, i got my first order today, placed in the first 5 minutes of the sale and shipped with overnight shipping...
first off, the email shipping notification i recieved said my estimated delivery date was 11/11 (saturday). i thought maybe i was upgraded to overnight delivery for saturday because i used overnight service (UPS and fed ex delivered on saturday despite the holiday). the reality is, they didn't even use overnight for the next business day morning (monday), but overnight by 3 OR 4 pm (monday). yes, there are a variety of UPS overnight shipping options. hey, even though they sent it the slowest overnight option possible, at least i got a big package right now!!!
i've ordered from these sales twice a year for 3 years or more (6 or 7 times), and i always upgrade to 2 day or overnight shipping. DDD always use UPS for premium shipping. the box is ALWAYS too big for what's in it and filled with paper- and UPS ALWAYS destroys the box. this season, no different. one side of the box split open. i have one title missing- fortunately, the cheapest thing i ordered. DDD should use more packing paper and tightly pack the boxes with weight in them. UPS will inevitably drop it on the wrong end with the weight side up and split the box. seriously, every box big i've received during this sale from DDD has been the same.
ok, so bitching aside, i love this sale and am ordering more tonight!!! DDD ALWAYS backs up their mistakes- they're sending the title missing from my package right out. i felt bad for the guy on the phone, he seemed like he had been dealing with a lot of crazy people for a few days.
one thing i gotta say about what i've been reading on the thread-
prices change all the time on dvds. last 20% off sale in june i ordered a bunch of KINO studio titles and a few weeks after the sale ended, DDD had a huge KINO sale with prices better than i paid. oh well, if i bitched about what i paid 5 years ago for titles that now sell for close to nothing, i'd go mad.
i don't think what DDD is doing is wrong with prices changing. they are covering their butt. you can still get good deals. i've never had prices go up, in fact usually my prices go down on some items, every sale. it's up the buyer to make the choice. you should know going into almost ANY dvd sale that you will more than likely find MOST of the stuff your buying CHEAPER in the not too distant future somewhere else. and wanna kick yourself. prices drop. there are sites like dvdpricesearch to help get the best current price. smarten up!!!!
we must want these discs now, and that's why we buy during this sale.
at least i know that's why i do. i make a list in advance and if i find things cheaper before the sale, i buy them elsewhere. if i don't like DDDs price ('cause i'm smart enough to know the price will change soon enough), i don't buy from there, even during the sale.
i've often thought about readers of a forum like this, that have thousands of titles in their libraries, banding together and starting a class action lawsuit against the studios for the absurd price changes that happen over the life of dvd titles. maybe that's how a difference could be made about dvd price changes.

Just placed my first order with DDD last night (and got there through dvd talk, so hopefully that helps the site, somehow).
Got both the James Bond sets for 43 bucks each.
Not sure about the quality of DDD, but I am sure that that's the lowest price I'm gonna get on those sets.
Quite amazing frankly.
