Don't forget, Best Buy has bonus discs included with the Bond sets (that's why they probably have the different UPCs). Was able to price match today with only minor problems.

Sam's Club price

I saw someone post a Sam's Club price around $45. Interesting. At my location, they were $59.76 apiece, which shocked me. BB, CC, and Target all have that beat. Can anyone else verify the Sam's Club price in their neighborhood?

Check out the 25% off one item at Barnes & Noble thread on how to get these volumes for $35.02 + tax ($37.80 for CA residents). You'll have to go through the AAA link www.aaa.com/barnesandnoble and then use the 25% off code (X9Y3G8Y).

Laser Movies 11-27-06 03:33 PM

Also there is a rebate available for the James Bond Collection Volumes 1 & 2 if you can get a hold of one of the forms.

The Sam's near me didn't sell them individually. They sold them in a big two pack complete with a die-cast model of a Bond car for around $120.

All the posts I've read have said the B&N 25% off coupon is a one-time use on 1 item. If you got both Bonds with the discount, did you use 2 separate accounts to order or is it not really a one-time use coupon?

EDIT: Well, I tried using it again and it says it has been redeemed, so it's definitely only one per account. Could I set up different accounts with the same name, address, and credit card info, but with different email addresses?

i cant get the barnes and noble coupon to work?? whats wrong?

I guess I could try using it again on B&N to see what happens.

Two separate accounts - hopefully there won't be a problem

Did you use identical names, shipping/mailing address, and credit card info with the only difference being the email address? I'm so tempted to do it. I wonder what time the coupon ends... if it's midnight EST then there is only 10 minutes left.

paulringodaman 11-27-06 11:24 PM

edit i got it working...i dont wanna be greedy, i will just use one account!!

bigsing 11-28-06 11:09 AM

i got it to work with two accounts.

For the people who say they are using multiple accounts, are you using different names, credit cards, and addresses? Or are you just using all the same info except a different email address? I know the latter would work, but will B&N detect this, cancel those orders, and ban whoever does it from B&N forever?

Normally I would try not to be greedy, but there are 3 other things I really want to order at these prices and I don't have any other names, addresses or credit cards to use.

I created 2 accounts with all the information being the same except the email addresses if that helps. I'm willing to take a risk of cancellation since it is such a good deal for the Bond sets.

I highly doubt they will get cancelled. B&N in the past has not cancelled orders for such behavior. I remember when they did those BNxxxx coupons and I did multiple orders back then with different accounts/same info. No issues, but YMMV.

Show Your Card and Save
Your AAA Membership saved you a Total of 10 percent. Anyone had a card & wanted to share!!

I put in a random 6 digit number (it says for tracking only)....well see if it gets changed before shipment.

Paul Arnette 11-28-06 01:39 PM

Nice find. I already had one account, so I created another and got both for $73.66.

IG80Nate 11-28-06 02:57 PM

Not sure anyone's noticed this, but prices are slightly higher when you enter B&N through the AAA page.

For example the pre order price of volume 3 of the Bond sets was 48 something when you access the site the normal way, but when you access it through AAA, it was 53 something.

So you're saving 10 percent, but since the overall cost is higher to begin with- you really save nothing.

I'm seeing $48.58 for members and $53.98 as the regular non member online price. It looks like the members price drops off when doing the AAA link. So for non B&N members you are saving 10% off doing AAA. If you are a B&N member you might as well just use the regular link.

IG80Nate 11-28-06 03:15 PM

Wait you mean NON members might as well just use the regular link, right?

Because for non B&M members, the prices are higher and the AAA discount really just brings the price back down to what it already was before you used the AAA link.

Whereas members actually can get 10 percent off, etc.

Or am I missing something?

In either case it seems a bit shady, doesn't it?

I mean they're basically jacking up the prices 10 percent and then offering a 10 percent off coupon.

RockStrongo 11-28-06 03:20 PM

He was talking about being a B&N member....you have to pay extra for that.

THAT is the lower price you were seeing. The AAA takes the discount off the regular price (non-BN member price). So, if your a B&N member there is no need to use the AAA link.

Well if you're a B&N member it costs money to become one to get the 10% discount. The AAA discount doesn't require paying for anything to get it. If anyone is losing out it is the B&N members.
