The Proposition (2006) 16.99 at Borders starting Tuesday

I don't know what prices this went around at when it came out, but I just put stickers on before I left work tonight for 16.99 on this title. Appears better than the current DDD price, amazon by a good couple bucks and so on. Just a heads up if anyone's interested in what is apparently a bloody western in the Aussie outback starring Guy Pearce and written by Nick Cave (I've been interested in it for those reasons, which the title alone of course does not convey).

For anyone in the New England area, it was on sale for $11.88 at Newbury Comics last week. It should still be at that price. If not, $16.99 is still a great deal for this awesome movie.

I'd probably buy it for that price.

Great movie and nice dvd, rented it but I'd say it's worth a buy.

No, as always, coupons only combine with regular prices, not sale prices.

But I did notice this was lower than Wal-Mart has had it, which should make it a pretty darn good B&M price.

This is also available from Columbia House as an enrollment title. Just thought I would mention in case anyone would want to get it cheaper, or didn't want to go to an actual store.

I have this at home and can't wait to watch it.

BTW, if it's set in Australia, is it still a "Western"? Is it in western Australia? is it an Austern?

Eh, 'western' is a style/plot more than a setting at this point.

Sweet. That IS stackable with the $10 off $35 coupon. I needed something for around $15-17 to combine with The Maltese Falcon.

I used the $10 off $35 also. I got the Proposition and Marebito for right around $30, total. BTW, the Proposition was stickered at $27 at my Border's but rang up at $16.99. Nice find OP, Thanks!!!

Yep, that is if you can find it. Been to 4 Wal-marts in my area, numerous times, and the Tartan stand does not exist, at least in the Metro Detroit area.
