Pet Semetary: Special Collector's Edition $6.99 at Best Buy

I saw this posted on their website with no picture of the cover art, so I wasn't too sure if it was true or not. I was at my local Best Buy today and they have a stand for horror movie DVDs. One said is $9.99 to $14.99 and the other side is $6.99 with Pet Semetary on the advertisement. They sadly didn't have any of the movie, but it looks to be $6.99 come Tuesday when the title will be officially released.

I'm sorry if this has been posted all ready.

Pet Sematary is on the website at $6.99, but the Dead Zone is $12.99

I'm in for $7. Tuesday is going to be a very expensive day (Dracula: 75th Anniversary, Frankenstein: 75th Anniversary, Nightmare on Elm Street: 2-Disc, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 2-Disc)

I was able to pick up the new Pet Semetary SE for 6.99 and the new Dead Zone SE for 9.99 at my local Best Buy on Saturday. Pet Semetary was in a display for 6.99 horror movies. I also picked up Child's Play for 6.99. I already had most of what was in the display and wasn't interested in any except the two I picked up. So, I don't remember too many of them, but I know the following were part of the sale:
Blair Witch Project
American Psycho
High Tension
Ghost Ship
Freddy Vs. Jason

Those are the only ones I can remember now, but there were a lot more to choose from for 6.99. I looked on Best Buy's website, but couldn't find anything about this 6.99 sale, although I did check and Child's Play is on sale for 6.99 on their website.

High Tension was an even better steal when it was $3.99 at Best Buy in late August! Still worth it at $7 though.

I was just in Best Buy yesterday, and they had one of these displays. It was full of horror movies... 28 Days Later, Hostel, Wolf Creek, Saw II, and others ... but was unsure if they were all $6.99 or only the ones pictured above it (incl. Pet Semetary).

Most of the movies in it were stickered at $9.99 or thereabouts, but the ones that were pictured were stickered at $6.99, so I assumed that the $6.99 price wasn't for all of them.

Anyone know? I might have to go back and stock up.

I only saw 2 or 3 copies of this today. The shelf tag had $9.99. I'm not sure if this was an online deal or not. I would do instore pickup, but since there are less than 5 copies, the system says none are in stock. I'm going to print out the online page and take it with me this evening, just to be safe.

If the store has one of the displays it clearly shows the special edition on the thing that says $6.99 so you can fight this.

Yeah, the new Pet Semetary SE is on the picture of this display and it says $6.99 Horror Movies next to it. I don't think you'll have a problem in store. Mine rang up $6.99 automatically this past Saturday along with Child's Play.

I didn't see Pet Semetary out, but I did find a copy of Tales from the Darkside for $6.99 with a cover I don't think I've never seen before.

given on how LAME my neighbourhood Best Buy is and the stocking of 'new releases' I think I might have to drive out to Rockville or Pentagon City to see if they have this.

They had none out but they really wanted to help me (3 people asked to help me, amazing!) so I asked. They brought a copy out from the back.

I was all ready to argue that it was on the sign as 6.99, but it rang up for 6.99 on its own (7.31 with tax).

Good deal, thanks OP.

try finding one at my Best Buy and you'd be extremely lucky... if I were Store Manager, I'd fire everyone in the Music/DVD section. It's that DC work mentality - I only work as much as I get paid - lazy, lazy, lazy....

My Best Buy didn't have any copies of Texas Chainsaw Massacre UE out. I got like 5 people to help me & I think they all went in the back & had an orgy, because they were all dumfounded when they came back out & said they had 14 but couldn't find them. It only took them 30 minutes to return empty handed, so I just checked out, then went over to Target & bought it where they had several sitting with the new releases.

For some reason my Best Buy was also flooded with employees running around like they owned the place. Also there were a bunch of old ladies working there discussing something about someone having sex in the back of a van while their kid sat outside waiting for them to finish... freaking weirdness like never before there today.

I got a tad miffed at the lack of new releases today - I was like where's 'TCM:UE' and 'Nightmare on Elm Street Special Editions' the employee answered abruptly - 'oh we're just unpacking them' ... (duh-duh-duh)
