Sir speedy, I stumbled upon this thread while looking to purchase a laptop. I noticed you mentioned the exact laptop I am looking at in the circuit city circular for 10/1 - 10/7, and wonder where I might get some more info on that? I don't really know what this site it, but know that the price you list in great! Can you please send me some info as to how I might purchase that Toshiba at the price you mention?

Glad to have found this site. It's now a "favorite". I called CC last night and they told me that indeed, 10/01 that laptop goes on sale. So I will be logging in at just after midnight on the 30th to pick this one up. Even though it lacks some software, you can't get better "guts" for the money. Software can always be purchased, and half the time when you buy a computer it is loaded with crap you'll never use anyway! Thanks for the reply, and the help!

A lot depends on which cashier you get, but I have had success before with a computer printed ad. My store's quite trusting - I rarely have to show the ad unless there's an extreme price difference. Just "this is $xx at Circuit City" is usually enough.

Barring that, perhaps there's another newspaper in your area that might have different ads?

Call me old school, but when I see "Tyler Perry" I think Aerosmith. And then I'm disappointed. No Jagger Richards either... :sad:

I couldn't find the "Weird Al DualDisc" listed in any ads, at CC online, or on Amazon. Could someone please tell me what it is and the exact title?

It's his new album, go look around on weirdal.com, all sorts of info about it. Basically, the DVD side is a bunch of videos for the new songs.

I'm reading from other forums that people who got the new CC flier are saying that the Toshiba Laptop you have on the front is $599 after $150 rebate. Is that true? I thought both CC and BB were having this laptop on sale for $599 OTD. What does your CC flier say? It seems that BB does have it for $599 OTD though. Did you know that the one at CC was after rebate? Thanks.

Hmmmm...that's very interesting since now other people have confirmed that the CC one does have a $150 rebate (after getting a copy of the new flyer) and it's not OTD price. Do you think it's a regional thing or did they change the ad since when you got the copy early in the week? The BB has been confirmed that it's $599 after instant savings so no rebate at BB, just at CC. Kinda weird that things changed from when you posted til end of the week.

It could be regional but you can decide for yourself when the ad comes in tomorrow's newspaper.

My ad originates in the NorthEast.
