I just picked up a few at a Big K-Mart in Nashville... tag in front of dvd rack said $14.99 but they sure rang up at $6.99!

I wasn't going to double-dip initially on this, but I went to my local K-mart today and it came up at $6.99 and at that price I pulled the trigger on it. That cool leather coat slipcase cover will eventually in the future not be included. So, I had to double-dip for such a low price.

Got the deal... one for me and 3 for Christmas gifts.

Wow great deal! Went to the closest K-Mart to me (Costa Mesa, CA) and they had 3 on an end cap, with price tag of $14.99. Had the cashier scan it to verify price and lo and behold, the price was $6.99...thanks OP! :thumbsup: -biggrin-

Here in Fort Smith, AR the sticker on the package saif 14.99 but the DVD rang up 6.99 (plus tax).

I swung by the Billerica, MA and picked up my copy. There were 5-6 on the shelf, all stickered $14.99, and no place to price-scan and no person to ask at the electronics counter. So I walked it up front to the regular cashier who checked it and rang it up for me at $6.99 + tax.

FWIW, I deliberately avoided the nearby rebranded to sears-watchmacalit kmart on the chance that they might have a different point-of-sale and pricing system.

Thanks, OP, for posting this. This was the first time I've set foot in a Kmart in a couple years. It was 6 miles out of my way, but they had them for $6.99 so I got 1. The $6 discount was probably about worth the time and gas. I guess the guys are supposed to get the leather jacket version and the women the sweater version?

While at Kmart I decided I'd look for $2 to $5 PS2 clearance games I always hear about on CAG. I asked where the clearance game section was and the lady told me the story about the same guy who shows up at every Kmart in the area the day after they put out new clearance stuff and cleans them out to sell the stuff on eBay. Apparently he had just cleaned them out yesterday... it's nice to know I have no chance of getting in on any game clearances for myself in my area because of YAGEC (Yet Another Greedy Ebaying CAG'er).

If you live in the Northridge area, I live about 15 minutes north of you -- in Santa Clarita. I work close to Northridge, so I might check it out there.

FWIW, I checked out my reciept and it said I saved $9.99 today. That averages out to around $16 dollars or so for the dvd without the sale price. So there is no error if the price came out to $6.99 and it says I saved around $9.99. Obviously, K-mart is having some kind of huge discount sale for the new Grease dvd at certain participating locations. Not sure for how long, but at that low price it's a steal.

I went to a K Mart that had them and they saved me 2 copies. As I got there, I went to the electronics department, and there was some tweeker couple ahead of me taking all the clerks attention and time, I must've waited like 10 mins, then the store had a fuckin black-out, complete darkness. The power came on and they couldn't get the registers to work. So they said to come by tomorrow and they'd hold them and give them to me at $6.99.

Reminds me of when I called my Circuit City on Apocalypse Now release day. Missed out on that for the same reason.

Edit: I made a trek into the ghetto during lunch. I had to wait 10 minutes for an employee with a case key to get off break, but I got the last one in Rancho Cordova. Much thanks to the original poster!

Astor Place....NYC never participates in sales. I can only assume that 34th street is the same deal.
