Thanks for the heads up, mr.bill. I was going to put in an order for those exact two DVD's tonight. You just saved me a couple bucks.

Dude this is awesome..I, like the post above, was about to do the same thing!!!

I ordered these a couple days ago and they arrived today. Sorta odd that PiP has a slipcase and SKoW does not. No biggie, though. Good deal from Amazon and I can't wait to dig into them.

Umm... okay, please don't kill the messenger here, but you can get them from DDD for $18.88 total with free shipping, so unless you have Prime, you're going to either have to spend the extra bucks getting to $25 for Amazon's free shipping or fork over whatever they're charging in shipping costs these days.

darn...

I paid $9.99 each, plus tax as best buy on release day, so this would have saved $5... but oh well...

If you sign up for Newbury Comic's eclub (its free) they have a coupon that is good through 9/17 that allows you to get Pretty In Pink : Ducky Edition for only $7.99.

Or, you can wait until 10/10 and get both movies along with Ferris Bueller's Day Off (Bueller Bueller edition) for $25.35 ($24.33 at Amazon - 67 cents shy of the free shipping cutoff):

Well if you were already planning on buying something else anyway, like I was, then you still make out. I also picked up the Ace Ventura double feature for 12.87 ($.50 less than DDD's price) so I saved $1.65 total by going this route. Plus, in my experience, Amazon's shipping tends to be quicker by and large.

Glad it worked out for you that way! I certainly agree on the shipping timeframe but, then again, I get almost everything from Amazon pretty quickly since I'm in the Northwest region of the country... :D

update:
Amazon has dropped the price on pretty in pink everything duckie to $10.88.

Don't know if they do price adjustments. My order had not shipped, so I canceled and reordered.

The $5 off for buying both is still in effect.

Yowza!!! Seriously good call!! Picked up both, plus Ferris Bueller (Bueller, Bueller, Bueller Edition) for $26.86 shipped, since all three are eligible for free shipping above $25!! Wahoooooooo!!!!!

joliom 09-18-06 04:07 AM

I guess I should have waited a little longer. I received my order (and opened everything) the day before this latest price reduction. Figures.

Thanks OP!

If you have Amazon Prime, you could get all 3 in the Too Cool For School Collection for $24.33. Otherwise you'd need a filler to get it above $25. Not sure why this collection isn't out until Oct. 10th, since all 3 titles are available now.

Too funny... I didn't even realize there was a set coming out... I just thought the combo made a lot of sense! No Amazon Prime here... I don't order from them enough to make it worthwhile (but when I was on a trial of Prime... THAT was another story! )

(BTW, a shout-out to my Southerly neighbor - GO BEAVS!!! And thanks for the info!)
