I've been catching Paranoia Agent on Adult Swim On Demand. I'll definitely be getting it once the site is back up. BTW, this message was just posted by Rich Harms of Right Stuf on the AnimeOnDVD forums:

I haven't seen or read any of her other work, so I can't say.

The stories were very entertaining the first time around, but I honestly don't see it having much replay value. On the other hand, if you're looking for 4 discs to pad an order, you could do a lot worse.

As a side-note to the rightstuff sale, I noticed a few other things on outpost that looked like good deals:

Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko: The Perfect Collection
$5.50
http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3059449

Eatman 98
$6.99
http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3710266

In addition, I could have sworn that Infinite Ryvius was showing up at $14.99 earlier today, but apparently it's not anymore.

I have 2 discs of the Anthology and both my husband and I love them. We're also big Ranma fans and have enjoyed what we've seen of Maison Ikkoku. We've got Inu Yasha to watch though as well as Mermaid Forest.

I'm a bit confused because personally I don't find any of Rumiko Takahashi's stuff all that "bloody and violent". Action-oriented, yes. But not bloody and violent.

Unless we're talking about two completely different individuals.

I was just adding Last Exile to my cart, and it looks as if disc 2 is sold out now. Damn. I finally decide what I'm getting, and it's gone. Oh well.

I can only imagine what kind of beating Right Stuf's server is taking right now. While I wait, can anybody give an opinion on Stellvia? Also, are the Tenchi movies accessible enough for series newbies to follow?

\/\/\/\/ Thanks for the input. Opinions about Vandread, anybody?

Haven't watched Stellvia, but I'm collecting the volumes myself.

On the Tenchi movies, it's been awhile. I would say you "should" be okay if you haven't seen the series, but obviously it's more meaningful if you have.

But like I said, it's been awhile - having watched most of Tenchi at least twice, I might just be hopeful that the movies are easier on new fans ^_^;

I really hope so. Was adding stuff to my 3rd order and found that Tokyo Underground vol 4 is out of stock. Now it's holding up my last 25 disc order.

Same thing happened to me, held up my 2nd order - but it kept coming back in stock 1 or 2 copies, so after several attempts I was thankfully able to order it. There are 7 in stock when I just checked a few minutes ago.

Yeah, last night was a long one. The one day I didn't go online when I came home from work, so I didn't even find out about the sale until 930pm or so. I had added everything to my cart after 45 minutes, and when I went to checkout (around 1030pm est), everything in my cart disappeared. Long story short, my two orders didn't go in until ~1AM and ~145AM. Here's what I got:

Order 1:
Chobits 1-7
Gungrave 2-7
Haibane Renmei 1-4
Lain 2-4
Paranoia Agent 1-4
Tokyo Underground 1

Order 2
Tokyo Underground 2-6
Nazca 1-4
Akira

And SkyDog: Woww!

I just placed a second order:

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue 1-7
Hanaukyo Maid Team La Verite 1-3
Mao-Chan 1-4
Popotan 1-3
Soultaker 1-4
Tenchi Muyo: Movie 1-2
Tenchi Muyo: OVA 3-4

I hope they don't sell out of too much stuff. I'd like to place 1 or 2 more orders in a few days.

Sky Dog's got the right idea! I'd easily drop that much if I could.

Wow, I go to sleep and find that the righstuf site gets hammered; did it get posted at FW or something? I noticed an apathetic attiutude at CAG for awhile, it seems they finally noticed this is actually an awesome deal.

*Sigh*...I couldn't resist after all, Order 3:

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue x 7
Fushigi Yugi x9
Gankutsuou vol 1
Koi Kaze x3
Mermaid Forest x4
Moldiver Perfect Collection

That's it. No more. I don't care if they put every Geneon title ever made up for sale. I'm so glad I resisted buying the CCS bundle earlier, or I'd really be screwed. Couldn't pass up on the Tenchi Universe set, but I really, really wanted that so, meh. There absolutely cannot be another dime spent on anime for like 4 months for me now (curse you rightstuf's Christmas sale...)

I'm not sure about his situation, but I had absolutely NO Geneon titles in my collection (other than Dollar General runs a looong time ago) before this sale. This is like a dream for cheap people everywhere.

The only (major) concern I have regarding this sale is, what happens if they're unable to fill certain volumes of particular series'? I really don't want holes, especially when filling them would probably end up being expensive.

The only Geneon titles I had were various odd ones that I picked up through Dollar General, Big Lots and elsewhere. You can pretty much tell what I already had by looking at what I didn't get. As far as how I'm going to be able to afford it, I've basically took most of what I was going to put toward the DDD 20% off sale in November and put it here. I'm going to be hurting a little bit for a while, definitely, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run. I'm worried about the holes, too (Can people keep an eye out for Last Exile 2, Star Ocean EX 2 and Tokyo Underground 4 for me?). I've filled a lot more holes than I've left, though, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Alright, got my first order in last night - ended up a little different than I'd planned (skipped Vol. 1 of Paranoia Agent and Haibane Renmei; decided to pick up the box + 1 later):

Chobits DVD 7 (Hyb): Chat Room
Doki Doki School Hours DVD 2 (Hyb): 2nd Hour
Haibane Renmei DVD 2 (Hyb): Wings of Sorrow
Haibane Renmei DVD 3 (Hyb): Bird of Freedom
Haibane Renmei DVD 4 (Hyb): Day of Flight
Melody of Oblivion DVD 2 (Hyb): Monotone
Melody of Oblivion DVD 3 (Hyb): Metronome
Melody of Oblivion DVD 4 (Hyb): Solo
Melody of Oblivion DVD 5 (Hyb): Refrain
Melody of Oblivion DVD 6 (Hyb): Final Score
Mermaid Forest DVD 2 (Hyb): Bitter Flesh
Mermaid Forest DVD 3 (Hyb): Unquenchable Thirst
Mermaid Forest DVD 4 (Hyb): Unending Nightmare
Paranoia Agent DVD 2 (Hyb): True Believers
Paranoia Agent DVD 3 (Hyb): Serial Psychosis
Paranoia Agent DVD 4 (Hyb): Sayonara Maromi
Rumiko Takahashi: Anthology DVD 3 (Hyb): A Touch of Magic
Rumiko Takahashi: Anthology DVD 4 (Hyb): Weird Stuff
Stellvia DVD 3 (Hyb): Foundation III
Stellvia DVD 6 (Hyb): Foundation VI
Tenchi Muyo: Movie 2 DVD (Hyb): Daughter of Darkness
Azumanga Daioh Vocal Collection CD Soundtrack
Madlax Original CD Soundtrack 2
Trigun CD Soundtrack: The First Donuts
X TV Series CD Soundtrack 2

I was thinking about picking up Star Ocean and Texhnolyze as well, but decided to wait and see if anything gets added later (I'm hoping for Stellvia 7 & Fafner 2-5 personally - that would wipe out most of my Geneon missing stuff that's not a "box/collection"...).

- Texhnolyze: Vol.1 - 6

2nd Order:

- Onmyoji II (LiveAction)

Here is my 4th Order from late yesterday:

- Burn-Up Scramble: Vol.1-3
- Mermaid Forest: Vol.1-4
- Poptan: Vol.1-3
- Stellvia: Vol.1-6
- Tokyo Underground: Vol.1-6
- Tsukihime, Lunar Legend: Vol.1-3

6 orders, SkyDog that is very impressive!
And I thought 4 orders was too many!

I probably won't do another order unless they add some more titles toward the end of the sale (DearS, Fafner, Fighting Spirit, Ganuktsuu Vol.6, Girls Bravo, Kamichu, Read or Die, Samurai Champloo, Stellvia Vol.7 & 8, or Strawberry Marshmallow). 100 volumes of anime titles, I wonder how long it's going to take to watch them and I'm going to have fun finding storage room for them as well!

A quick headsup for those who has yet to do an order:
Shawne has posted at the AOD forum: "As things get close to sell down on what we have available, I am adding counters. If there isn't a counter, you should be ok, at least as it sells down. I'll be adding a few yet today." Better get your orders before the certain titles become unavilable!

SO I was thinking of picking up some of the Full Metal Alchemist dvds, since they're on sale at Best Buy, but does anyone know: Will they ever release a box set of the whole season? I really don't want to waste the shelf space on 14 dvd cases. I found a couple of import season sets, but I think they're bootlegs since they are region 0. Didn't they release a full set in japan I could import or something?
