Mockingbird's dvd was on sale at Best Buy, but deep down I knew this wouldn't, so I ordered it off Amazon.
It's a great film...I reccomend all (well, all who are into Film-Noir) to get it. :)

And thanks for the prices Speedy. I'll be picking up Invasion from Best Buy then.

Weird, I originally heard it was coming out the 29th, now I see what you mean.

Then again, I wasn't paying as much attention, but I didn't think The Deer Hunter, The Sting or To Kill a Mockingbird was really on sale (though I see the comment above that suggests it was, but as I say, I wasn't paying a ton of attention at that time)

I have a question -- Do you happen to know if any of the SONY Vaio laptops are advertised in ads for the week of 8/20 - 8/26 (any store or model would be fine)

I just found out that I missed a sale on one of them (which came to about $400 off) by a few days and would still like to pick one up if they go on sale again.

That 2-for-$20 deal further shows why picking up new releases right away is silly. A few of those came out mere weeks ago. That said, I'm in for a blind buy on ATL and will scoop up 16 Blocks while I'm at it, since a previous viewing was filled with interruptions.

And for $8.99, I may give the Chappelle disc a chance, too.

No problem. They (BB) did the same thing last week with John Mayer's new CD Continuum.

I can't say for sure since I can't see the ad, but I think Rollin' and Tumblin' should be available on the 22nd and that Modern Times is what they're referring to as coming out on the 29th.

Now all I need to know is if Rollin' and Tumblin' is just three songs from the album or if there's anything exclusive, and if the $3 off counts towards the limited edition with the DVD or just the regular one. :)
