"Brick" is expensive!

List some places where you can get it cheaper than $20. And I don't mean like $18 or $19. I mean cheaper.

Movies shouldn't cost $20 since you can get them for as little as $4!!!!

Wannabe 08-08-06 02:36 PM

Thanks for the bargain!

Just join Columbia House.

Why? Is the Columbia not a house built of bricks?

tonyc3742 08-08-06 03:09 PM

it's a brick
house
.

And maybe this is the old math coming out, but I thought 18 or 19 *was* cheaper ["less than"] than 20.

Movies should cost whatever people are willing to pay; people should pay the legitimate owner/reseller whatever the movie is worth to them.

Yeah! Where does Hollywood get off charging $20 for new releases when I can get public domain copies of Little Shop of Horrors and White Zombie for $1? I say we start an Internet Petition: All DVDs $1 or we boycott!

dadaluholla 08-08-06 03:42 PM

Yeah thanks to Columbia House I ordered Brick yesterday for free (which along with the remainder of dvds I had received in this account, worked out to 12 titles for around an average of 4.98 each).
:)
I don't know how to make that more realistic for you.

nonametofame 08-08-06 03:52 PM

Cheapest was $17 at my local Wal Mart. Glad I picked mine up through CH.

How did you score it for free? Is it available for enrollment?

sotra 08-08-06 04:01 PM

he used a bogof code (808966 with free shipping on 3 or more titles is currently valid) and there is also a current code valid that gives you 1 free title when you buy 4 (can be combined with 808966 to give you 2 free and free shipping when you buy 5)

Yeah, I bought 2 Sept/Oct Pre-order titles (which will be fulfilling the account), got 1 dvd at 1/2 off, and 2 free titles... all with free shipping. It worked out to $47 and change.

I'm just saying if the store prices on some titles are not exactly what you are looking for then maybe you should really look into CH as an option.
:)

Billthesaidso, are you somehow related to the lame-brained lowenbotten?

I know of bricks with more intelligence.

Can we just close this thread? Please? You can only do so much for idiots, and then you just pity them.
