And the best prices for Animaniacs, Pink & the Brain and the Boondocks are...?

Guess it's Best Buy's $29.99 for Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain and Circuit City's $27.99 for the Boondocks..

Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

Rogue588 07-25-06 12:29 AM

Thanks for that averageguy. But, while i've had relatively hassle-free experiences with FYE's rebates, i'll just PM at BB and save myself from any potential drama.

Then again, Costco could come through and actually stock these.

yeah, right. who'm I kidding? :(

gotrice487 07-25-06 12:35 AM

I'll check Costco for you tomorrow and let you know

Rogue588 07-25-06 12:49 AM

Thanks gotrice487. And while you're there, tell Blade I said "Hi".

:mad2::(

hiccup 07-25-06 12:51 AM

It would be nice if these were stocked at Costco, but I rather doubt it. Perhaps Boondocks with all of the popularity it has received recently, but again probably not. I'm just buying it at CC this week for $27.99. I really want Pinky and the Brain, but may just hold out on that one for the DDD sale.

There are a bunch of coupons in the Houston area Best Buy's that are a blue coupon book that says Back to School. There is a 10% off coupon for TV DVDs that would bring pinky and animaniacs to $26.99

ramivic 07-25-06 04:11 AM

Or use the coupon from the popcorn bags from AMC Theaters for $5.00 off any TV DVD - Final price should be $24.99 for Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain.

I will try this today (7/25) and see if the coupons work on sale titles.

Lecithin 07-25-06 09:40 AM

I'm going to try the "wait for an undetermined amount of time and hope they go down to half price eventually" strategy.

tonyc3742 07-25-06 09:45 AM

That is a good strategy, usually. I was in WalMart today [didn't think to look for Animaniacs] and saw the complete Riddick trilogy for 13.xx.

Are you only considered B&M? Animaniacs is 31.49 at Amazon with free shipping and no tax, and same title after tax at my Best Buy is 32.09. Plus I get 1.47% off or whatever thanks to the A9 discount.

A 10% BB coupon would be nice, I didn't see any last time I was there.

ChefWinduAZ 07-25-06 12:53 PM

Amazon has lowered their price for The Boondocks from $34.99 to $29.97.

I almost pre-ordered at the higher price using a $5 OFF certificate. Glad I waited. This seems about even with CC when you factor in the sales tax (where applicable). I've always had fast service with Amazon shipping.

RickWJ324 07-25-06 02:30 PM

Pinky and the Brain and Animaniacs are both $26.99 (SHIPPED) through CH.Com. Costco will probably have them for similar prices (assuming they carry them). I'm ordering from CH.COM today. --RickWJ324

Boondocks was $25.29 at the Nashua, NH Costco.

gotrice487 07-25-06 04:35 PM

As predicted earlier, no Animaniacs or Pinky and the Brain V1 here at Costco.

That's at columbiahouse.com. he was talking about ch.com. Different club that has free shipping on everything.

bis22 07-25-06 05:39 PM

I think ch.com is a slightly different club than Columbia House

The FREE shipping is great on box sets since they would normally charge $5.99 for only a 3 disc set -- perhaps higher for more discs. Keep in mind they do collect sales tax in some states. Here it's 8.25%.

MickeyMousePal 07-25-06 06:31 PM

Costco didn't have Pinky and the Brain or Animaniacs....:(

Got it.

And, yeah, my Costco didn't have the WB sets. (surprise, surprise) But they did have Boondocks..

Of course, judging by the content of these sets, you'd expect it to be the other way around..

tonymontana313 07-25-06 09:19 PM

I just used the back to school 10 percent off coupon at BB and picked up Pinky and the Brain for 26.99. I figure that's probably going to be the best price till the DDD 20 percent off sale and frankly I have no plans to wait another 4 months to save 2 to 3 bucks.

tonyc3742 07-25-06 10:04 PM

Interesting....Amazon went up for Animaniacs....
57 cents, now 32.06. Obviously I don't like price increases, but in addition, that's an odd amount.

Actually, I think CH tries to base the tax % on where you actually live (billing address). I've got 2 addresses @ 2 different taxing rates & get charged a little difference in tax depending on which address I use. Difference is only .50%, but every little bit helps.

ramivic 07-25-06 10:15 PM

Confirmed: Best Buy in Chicago (North/Clybourn) allowed usage of the $5.00 off coupon from the AMC Theaters Popcorn bag (large).

Final price for each $24.99.

Note: Limit one coupon per transaction/dvd.

Fry's has them at $27.99

Ravenous 07-29-06 08:08 PM

Anyone have trouble finding Animaniacs? I went to CC, Walmart AND Target throughout the week and ALL were sold out! Crazy

I got em on Friday though, 3 days used for only $19.99. Too Sweet
