I'll second the recommendation for A PERFECT WORLD, one of the most shamefully ignored American classics.

And check out WHITE HUNTER, BLACK HEART - a fictionalized look at what really went on during the filming of The African Queen with Eastwood as the John Huston-like director.

Yeah, Walmart had the same movies for $4.88 but you have to pay taxes, Gas & ur times digging for the DVDs. I recommanded DDD rather go to walmart, you endup can't find the movie you want.

You'd have to pay me to dig through those 'dump bins'. I've never understood this as a method of displaying product for sale. It's like a damn compost pile.

I'd much rather pay $4.99, no tax, no shipping, and have DDD pack 'em all up and deliver 'em to my door.

OP, in the future you need to provide a link to these things. There's simply no reason not to.

Any idea why the original Dirty Harry is not included in this sale? The other 4 are there...

I agree, diving through those dump bins at Walmart seems a little crazy to me when you can go online and order.

You save on gas, as well as on tax.

Unfortunately DDD didn't put these on sale until nearly a couple weeks after the Walmart display first showed up (and it disappeared within 1 week). Since I couldn't know that DDD would do this, I already bought the ones I wanted at Walmart for $4.88 + tax. At $4.99 with no tax I'd save myself about $2.25 if I returned all of mine (still unopened) to Walmart and bought them all at DDD. But is it worth all the trouble and the likelihood of getting at least 1 floater for $2.25? No way.

Too bad DDD couldn't have been a little faster starting this sale. It feels more like a "me too" response to Walmart's sale rather than being the leader in sales. I wonder if in a couple weeks we'll see all the Universal $4.88 DVDs at DDD for $4.99...

Interesting. The other day I was thinking of good Kevin Costner movie(s) and A Perfect World came to mind. I wondered why I've never seen it in stores.

Is it a decent release? I'll pick it up for $5, no problem.

Great transfer, anamorphic widescreen, DD5.1 and IMHO Costner's best acting.

Magnum Force isn't included either. I imagine those 2 are probably the best sellers of the series.
