The 4400 S2 - $16.49 @ Target - EXTREMELY YMMV

I went to Target yesterday to get in on the Rescue Me S1 & S2 deal. They had plenty of S1, but no S2.

On the shelf, where Rescue Me S2 should have been, the had a sign which said something to the effect of "Instant Substitution: We apologize, but we are all out of Rescue Me Season 2. Please feel free to pick up The 4400 Season 2 for 16.49"

For those of you in the Detroit, MI area, this was the Shelby Township location on Hall and Schoenherr.

Let us know if this sale applies to all other Target stores.

If I worked there (or could visit all the other Target stores) I would.

Are you ever going to post something clever or helpful, or even interesting? Or are you still marveling at IMDB which you discovered last month and were so nice to point out to all of us...

This was NOT on at my local target in St. Cloud, MN, so (as the OP states) still very YMMV).

While this substitution may be in effect at other stores, I doubt it. My local Target was out of Seinfeld S3. I asked an employee if they could substitute the Muppet Show. He talked with a manager and she approved it. I think the price of the substitute was based on the percent discount rather than price, because Seinfeld was $19.99 and Muppet Show was $21.xx. It took him a few minutes to get the MOD to the department, so I walked off and did some shopping. When I came back he said she approved the sub, and he asked if I had more shopping or if I wanted to pay in electronics. I asked him if he was going to put a new price sticker on it, but he said they changed the price in the system. Sure enough, the Muppet Show rang up as $21.xx, and I think they actually made a shelf tag showing the substitute.

I was there today and got a raincheck for Rescue Me. It's been a long time since I got a Target raincheck. When did they take off the sub any item for the same discount percentage?

IIRC, the "sub an item" text disappears when the percentage off goes above a certain number. Rescue Me's 40% off must have been too high.

Actually, it is 51% off ($39.99 full price) ... I got a raincheck for this today.

One of the Targets in my area was substituting Charmed Season 4 or 5 at $19.99 for the Seinfelds they had out of stocks on. Guess it must be up to the manager.

Strange, I got a raincheck too, and it had 40% (32.99 price). Odd.
