25% off used @ Wherehouse.com (Expires 7/31/06)

I just picked up 40 Year Old Virgin from Wherehouse for $7.99 and then it printed a $7 MIR. It's the unrated, and all of them, FS and WS were priced that way. They rang up $14.99 and she had override it to $7.99 since the sale sticker was on it, but the stickers were on all new copies. Either someone missed changing prices in the store or all stores didn't get the correct pricing as I'm sure they didn't intend it to be that price with the rebate.

There was also a sheet of paper with:

"25% off any one used CD, used DVD, or used Game. Valid only at Wherehouse.com. Use promo code 25OFFALL during checkout. Discount valid for one used cd, dvd, or game only. Not valid on new product, gift cards or in combination with any other offer. Expires 7/31/06"

Haven't tried to use it multiple times. My apologies if this has been posted already, I check the bargains thread all the time and have not seen this posted before.

Thanks for the code. With shipping and taxes you don't get too much discount off the regular price unless you buy one thing that is rather expensive.

I still might use it though because they have some DVDs I want at decent prices with no shipping or tax.

Unlike spun.com which gives credit for tradein instantly, this might be a good time to send off some used discs to wherehouse.. I have about 10 discs to get rid of and wherehouse is about 8 and change dollars more than dvdplanet offers, plus another 2 in change for shipping reinbursement for wherehouse, so ~10 bucks more than planet..Since it expires end of the month I think I might send some stuff to them and grab some stuff..Even tho they charge tax/small shipping fee I think there's some deals to be found..just figured i'd point that out..

also i tried the coupon at spun and secondspin and it doesnt work there..

it also says "25% off any one used CD, used DVD, or used Game." .. I put two items in my cart and it discounted them both..

very lucky...they were probably supposed to put the $7.99 after MIR sticker on it and not the regular one.

Are the used DVD sets at Wherehouse as good as they say? I've heard they are very particular in taking trade-ins, and with the sets everything has to be there - including the bonus stuff.

The only used DVD I've ever bought from Wherehouse.com was the Dawn of the Dead Ultimate last summer for around $20. The condition wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for me.

Hit and miss. I am taking a chance on the Hithcock Masterpiece collection as the price was too good to pass up.

Back when they had their huge sale a year or two ago, I picked up a bunch of used DVD's. Most arrived in fine condition. Wherehouse uses these "used" stickers that are impossible to remove--I had to use goo-gone to get the residue off. And my used Alien Quadrilogy boxset arrived torn, shattered, broken, destroyed...

But their customer service is very good, and you generally won't have a problem getting a refund if something is not as you expected. They handled my Alien situation fine.

The Killer Criterion for $73.49. I also purchased Spinal Tap Criterion for $38. Too bad that the code is a one time use.

Thanks to the OP

Some are in great condition, while others are pretty bad. They are good with returns, though. What I find annoying is they put USED stickers on the boxes (which don't always come right off), then they shrink wrap the boxes. They also often ship them sealed in foam, which can be a pain to open. Between the foam and the shrink wrap and the sticker, it's like a day long project just to get to my DVDs!

Yes, it is one time use. It applies to all the titles on your order, but it won't let you use it on a second order with the same account. Of course, you could probably set up a second account.

It actually applies to only one title per order.
