Big YMMV - this company has had major problems in the past. The old owners of dvdsoon went bankrupt a few months back and dvdimport took over. Apparently they have been fulfilling some orders. Be prepared to wait a long time and possibly never receive your item. Of course, you should be able to get a refund with your CC company if you never receive the item. And, if you do receive something, then you can consider yourself lucky.

I'm actually not going to go through with it all - just thought I'd throw it out there for others.

Does anyone know if they still charge at order time, or only when something ships? If it's only when something ships, I might throw some stuff on one of the CCs I never use, and then pay things off as they ship.

I think I'd rather tear up a few dollar bills and flush them down the toilet - that way, I'll realize a lot sooner that my money is gone.

They charge when you place the order.

"Please note that full payment (which includes total for the items and total shipping fees) is charged to your credit card at the time of order."

They also charge you if you cancel an order!:

"Please note that administration fees will be charged to you upon cancelling an order:

$ 1.98 CAD for the first item each time a cancellation is made and then $ 0.98 CAD for each other item."

It is really a shame as their prices are excellent! The chances of ever receiving your order is slim to none.

These crooks are back again with two sites to screw you from. Canadian sites are already getting complaints that titles showing as in-stock don't ship at all and then you only get credit when you decide you have waited long enough for them to deliver the goods you have paid for up front and cancel and order.

If you have too much money "burn it", you'll get more pleasure from that than getting ripped off by these people.

I came out way ahead of dvdsoon. Nailed them on several misprices going 2 - 3 years back and the goods always came (slow but sure).
