Are you referring to the Suncoast deal, where you could get ANY 2 box sets for $32? That's where I got a lot of mine! $16 each. What a bargain!

Brokerage is the fees that UPS charges you to clear the pkg by customs. Where as Canada Post charges you that $5 handing fee, UPS takes a HUGE percentage based on the amount thats comes over (they have a chart on their website).

In addition to that you will also have to pay the tax, but we already expected that, just not the HUGE ripoff rates that UPS wants to clear your package.

I believe there's a really good review here on DVDTalk - its with Hank Azaria and comes on Showtime.

when this was first announced as a re-release, it was going to be 16x9 (anamorphic) - did that actually happen, or is it the same nonanamorphic transfer?

Good question. But, being the person who asked the goddamn question in the first place...SOMEONE ELSE providing an answer would probably make more sense!

Same old transfer.

I know there's a good thread in history about it.

The glory days of internet deals for me was back around the times of 800.com, bluestar.com, and the old buy.com $20 off $20 coupons and using a free webcertificate for completely free DVDs!

Here's my 3rd order from DDD, both blind buys based on reviews and this thread...

1 HBD099205 DVD : BAND OF BROTHERS $ 45.68 New-Price
1 SON031245 DVD : UNDECLARED-COMPLETE SERIES $ 25.19 In-stock

Merchandise Total: $ 70.87

I got seasons 6 & 7 through that deal. I went north of the border and got seasons 1-5 at totalactionuniverse. Ah, sweet memories.

OT from the thread a bit, but do yourself a favor and get out of credit card debt NOW, and stay out of it before you drop $200 on DVD's. You do not want to get buried in credit card debt. I've seen too many people get burned by it. Some of us are able to afford these big purchases b/c we're older, have good careers, etc.

Now back to reading about DVD buying binges...

FYI, not sure if it has been mentioned but the WB rebate is good until the end of the month so this sale would be a great way to finish out the requirements for that $50 rebate if you are short any.

Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Anyone know what the story is with Dario Argento's Inferno? I had it in my wishlist yesterday, and today it's gone. When I did a search for it, the page said "There is no information on this title."

I thought receipts had to be dated by the end of 2005, and submit the rebate no later than June 30. I could be wrong.
