Gamestop / EB B2G1F possible 6/4-6/11
 

A friend at EB gave me the heads-up, B2G1F comes back this Sunday for one week. The thing is, however, the advance ad he showed me only said B2G1F for games, but he also said that it wouldn't be the first time that the ad only said games but it was games & DVDs.

Also, he said that the discount card system is finally merged and you can use your EB or Gamestop discount card at both locations.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to see if there are any decent 3 for $10 titles (and if they ring them up as B2G1 during the sale).

They're always 3/$10, and have been continuously for months now.

the 3 for 10 is on dvds 5.99 or less the b2g1 is on ALL dvds. you can get some box sets pretty cheap this way

There are some 19.99 Seinfield box sets I will go grab if they are B2G1F.

I have seen now the Seinfeld boxes priced at $16.99 at many Gamestops, so you should ask the cashier to fix the sets marked to $19.99 to the new lower price.

I know. My post stated that and then I wonder if they will ring those up properly with the B2G1 sale, 3 for $6.66 (since it has been hit or miss for some).

Stopped at EB again tonight, was told that the sale will start tomorrow and will include DVDs. YMMV, depending on if your local EB worker drone has read the e-mail updates or is just going by the ad in the paper.

my gamestop is already preparing for me to raid the 5.99 bin. I interviewed there yesterday and was eyeballing a copy of Saw i wanted in the bin...

Congrats, but don't ever accept a management position. Gamestop managers are treated like total shit by corporate.

thats what i gathered from the manager...they forked his budget over and then told him to hire 2 new people

he told me he couldnt bring 2 new members in until he was able to get his current workers the money they deserve but once he gets the budget worked out I've got a job....i like that in a manager

Sadly there wasn't much at any of the 7 local GS / EB locations today. I can usually count on 1 EB and 1 GS having a great selection of new-condition DVD's freshly stolen by crack heads, but apparently the stores have either cracked down on people selling stolen goods or the thieves got busted. I grabbed Shield s4, Rescue Me s2 and Numb3rs s1 at one location. Was going to get Battlestar Galactica 2.0, Grey's Anatomy s1 and Lois & Clark s2 at another store, but the only discs they could find were the ones for Battlestar. Thankfully that's the one my friend works at, so he just put everything on hold for me until they find the rest of the discs.

Next Sunday I'll be visiting a friend about an hour and a half south of me, so I'll be hitting 2 GameStops on the way, and another 2 or 3 in his neighborhood.

The box set deals aren't too shabby, but I can't get enough of the $3 for $10 bin, which goes for roughly $2/per after tax with B2G1F and the discount card.

I bought 12 movies during my lunch break today.

I checked two more stores today. Both had very sad selections. One had a 3/$10 bin with exactly 8 movies total! Now that's sad. I was pissed because i wasted 10 minutes worth of gas.

Yes, they still have it, but right now it's even better since they combine it with the buy 2 get 3rd free and the total goes to $6.66 and if you have the discount card it lowers to $6.00.
