There was a tiny crack on one of the Love Hina plastic panels. It's not bad enough to send back. But everything else was in excellent condition.
Thanks for the info on Love Hina, I ended up ordering one.

Which store/site are you talking about? Rightstuf has Peacemaker Vol. 5 , Peacemaker Vol. 6 , and Peacemaker Vol. 7 @ $7.99 per volume in their Bargin Bin.

Hmm, one of the main reasons I ended up getting this was because of the praise it received from animeondvd. Normally I agree with most of the main reviewer's opinions. Sorry you couldn't make it past the first episode though, that's unfortunate. I also got mine in today, and maybe I can talk about it's quality in about six months, when I'll probably end up watching it. =P

It's freaking weird. I did find the wildly excessive boobsizing and the way all the characters completely ignored it to be funny. The last episode so or two have a real effed up evangalion thing going on - you definitely need to have the follow-on series - the Misaki Chronicles- ready to slot into the DVD player else you are going to just end up really annoyed at the 'ending' that is really just a midway point in the story.

I'm going so assume you're talking about Best Buy since you mentioned B&M as well. If so, did you try RINGING up the prices? Many times Best Buy does not update their sticker prices on anime price drops. I will add this to the red-colored bolded disclaimer since so many similar posts come up like this. You have to actually ring up the prices to know if they are still in effect, and my guess is that they probably are unless there was some kind of special sale, but there wasn't. And like the disclaimer already says, the online prices probably do not reflect B&M prices, especially if they are different than the ones listed in the table.

WTK-you're out of control with these updates. I love it! I'm hoping that DVD Planet keeps the sale going for another month or so. I would love to get Gankutsuou 5 in July and the Daphne set in August. BTW, don't worry too much about the expiring coupons. They have the same coupons every month.

That would be awesome if it works on the tin too, it would bring it down to 28.99

It will work on the tin set as well, and the price will drop once you add another volume (1-9) to your cart. And then it will just automatically take $2.50 off each of the DVD you purchase. You should be able to do store pick-up to save shipping once it's 6/27.

I dont know...The fact that the animation mostly was still pictures with a blinking light, or cgi models (that look like ps1 cut screens) being slid around with little or no movement really turned me off. It just seemed very low quality and generic. I watched the first episode and skipped around the rest of the disk and then shut it off in disgust.

I'm used to some skimping on the animation, most of my favorite shows are really old (macross, gundam, gatchaman=recycled animation out the butt)...this was just really not my thing I think. I tried to watch another newer show the other day, Stellvia Foundation, and I got really bored by the second disk. It had really good cgi that actually meshed with the show, but the writing was bad and I got really bored. I've liked a few modern shows like planets and initial d, there is just so much that is boring or just bad lately. I started to get discouraged hitting two shows in a row that I did not like. I'm sure they have thier fans, so if these are your favorite shows, no offense.

I guess I like about 10-25% of the anime out there...just need to be more selective and not buy things just because its cheap

You can save a dollar or two if you buy it at DDD[plus it'll be a token of appreciation for their just concluded 20% off sale]. DDD has the tin for $30.24 and the individual volumes for $18.14 each. That's a total of $48.38 with no tax unless you live in Illinois. BB's combo price with the $5 deducted is $48.98 plus tax.

Yea, I couldn't stand Divergence Eve either. Here's my review to the first volume:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=14556

I gave it a 'skip it' recommendation.

LOL! If only I had held out and read all 2578 pages of the sale threads and your review! I could have saved 16 bucks and 45 minutes of my time.
