Virgin Megastore in Miami Sunset Place liquidating stock – YMMV
Some friends and I were strolling through Sunset Place yesterday, when we stumbled into the Virgin Megastore and saw the store decently cleaned out with everything discounted to 50% off. I had no idea this was happening! The pickings were slim with DVDs already. Their comprehensive international section was practically wiped out, but I was able to pick-up Faithless and Criterion’s Fighting Elegy. There are still many DVDs and some locals may find something worthwhile there. The CD selection was great, though; I couldn’t peruse it all due to time.
This store is one of those that sells at about SRP, but their sales were sometimes worthwhile, and these prices are now for sure worth going for. But this closing took me by surprise. Does anyone have information about the decision to close this store, which is the only Virgin in Miami? If so, would someone also know what the discount drop will go down to and when?
