I've ordered from them numerous times; usually takes about 2 weeks to get your order . . . sometimes faster, sometimes slower. I've never really minded about shipping times from them, though, as their prices have generally been great, particularly on releases from A&E.

Thanks! Looks like the original version and new version don't really have much difference in content or quality. Monty Python Live is all I was interested in on the 16-disc set and I can buy that for $10 somewhere else.

starman9000 05-17-06 08:32 AM

Oops, I thought it was the bigger set. Oh well, it's still a good deal. Did they correct the editing issues in the 16 ton set, or are the episodes the same?

HamiltonBook.com actually has Monty Python Live for $9.95:

Might I add, there's also the Kids in the Hall season one for $16.95 and season two for $24.95. Picked up season two for myself, and season one for my 16-year old brother with an appreciation for good comedy.

tofferman 05-17-06 10:14 AM

Thanks OP! Ordered the Monty Python set.

speedy1961 05-17-06 10:51 AM

What editing issues?

This is a great deal and I think I'm going to pick this up, but I just want to see if there's anything wierd with the set first.

DeepBlue 05-17-06 11:09 AM

Good find, thanks OP :)

I read some Amazon reviews that said some of the episodes were edited slightly. Apparently its not a big deal.

The discs are all the exact same ones as before, just packaged in thinner slimline cases.
