These all appear to be Sony titles at 50% off their usual prices.

Hmmm, when did "And Now For Something Completely Different" come back into print? I've needed that one to finish off my Python collection for a while now.

Tempting on some of those Godzilla titles also. But I think I'll stick with And Now For Something Completely Different and The Survivors.

OK, I can think of a question I should know the answer to. Would this sale include titles the CH would not stock? Would it be smarter to wait for the next 20% off sale? That's 2 questions! Supfool!(best user ID this year so far)

fugettabotit, the 1st page on DDDVD, which I love as much as my beloved CH, has Absence of Malice for $10.98 and you can get it through CH as an enrollment! Or!, get it during the 20% off sale for $10.98 - 20%. I rest my case with very little information, shoot from the hip, peaceout!

except this sale ends 5/30 and the 20% isn't usually until mid June.

How are the prices on these things? What's that Dr. Strangelove go for usually? I think there is a better edition of it. I don't know though.

Yes, there is a more recent one out 4oth Anniversary SE - 2-disk. Lots of extras, 5.1 mix, Peter Sellers footage, new documentaries. I do not remember pricing, but the box is dark rather than light.

I think it would be the preferrable. IMHO.

Wow, $10.98 for 2001: A Space Travesty starring Leslie Nielsen -- that's still $50 too much.

I got Downfall a few months ago but unfortunately I paid a lot more (like $19.98 or something), so it looks like I should have waited longer. It's a great movie though, I'm sure you won't regret buying it.

I've been waiting for a while for a sale on some of these titles. However, it's about 21% off the regular DDD price (on the few I checked). So it's worth it for me to wait until after the sale to see if there's a permanent price drop and then pick them up during the 20% sale. Does anyone out there know of an impending Columbia price drop?

Yes, $10.98 shipped is an excellent price for the Godzilla movies. There are several titles I would buy immediately if I didn't already have them.

A remastered edition of Mr. Deeds Goes To Town is supposed to come as part of a new Frank Capra box set. This was advertised in Sony's Cary Grant set
earlier this year. No date has been announced yet.

Bob_F1, would you mind ranking/recommending the various Godzilla titles? Of the ones listed, which are your favorites? I can only pick up a couple right now, and I'm not that familiar with the ones listed.

Thanks,

A different Bob ;-)
