yep, I printed it online & took it to BB....but that's a HUGE YMMV, b/c the manager looked at it for about 15 minutes trying to "Decide" whether or not to honor it....but I did get it

Does it say this on the box somewhere? I assumed each movie was just one disc. I see nothing on MI2 that references a second disc, and the previous one I owned was also only 1 disc. I know I've seen a bonus disc version at Walmart, but I wasn't aware that this set came with it. I don't want to open this and find out, in case there is a different 3-disc version out there. Mine looks exactly like the one pictured at the CC link posted... I did see a different version called "DVD Collector's Set" but that included the old version of MI, not the special collectors edition...

Amazon and CC both state 3 discs one for MI 1 and two for MI 2.

Thanks.

No, it does not reference the number of discs on the box but, dude, I own it, so trust me--it's three discs total: 1) the brand-new single-disc, 16:9 anamorphic debut of MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE: Special Collector's Edition, 2) the old single disc version of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II that you previously owned (no changes, even the same disc art) and 3) a brand-new bonus DVD included in the M:I 2 case that features Tom Cruise featurettes and a trailer and TV spot for M:I 3 (all of which are also included on the new M:I 1 disc).

Crap, was the $12.99 price only good last week? :(

I was surprised that it lasted more than a day. I assumed it was a mistake that would have been corrected after all the Online and In-store orders for $12.99.

Thanks. I wasn't doubting anyone, I just wanted to make sure there weren't different versions since I did not purchase mine at Circuit City...

Wow $24.99 at CC now! But Amazon still has it for $13.49, still a good buy there.

For those who have received their collector's sets, did you get the free movie ticket with it?

Also, did it have the sticker advertising the free movie ticket inside the box set on the outside cellophane wrap?

Thanks.

D.Pham5GLTE (>60GB) 04-17-06 11:20 PM

i got my set today, and yes it did come with the free movie ticket, and it had the sticker on the plastic advertising the free ticket.

freudian-slip 04-18-06 08:42 AM

Same here - sticker on the outside and the ticket was inside the MI 1 case.

ramivic 04-18-06 08:33 PM

Yes - my CC online order copy of MICS brought the moviecash!!! hooray! thanks for all of the kudos!

Layne 04-24-06 05:32 PM

Well I received my order from CC today... I opened the box and there was no shrinkwrap whatsoever - not on the slipcase nor on either of the DVDs. I opened the DVD cases and there are no DVDs. What's freakin hilarious is the movie money is the ONLY thing in the DVD cases. I'm gonna try and get replacements, yet I highly doubt anyone is going to believe me. I'm going to be honest and return the movie cash also - might make my "story" more plausible... -ohbfrank-

I would report it to whoever delivered it also. I think mine came USPS. There was a rash of Netflix and Blockbuster thefts in my postal area. I was one of the folks who reported gettiing empty envelopes. They caught the thief with hundreds of DVDs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I called Circuit City CS and told them everything. They are reshipping the DVDs and I made sure to tell them that it looked like the box was tampered with either before it shipped or after. The box was taped with packing tape even tho it was one of those "sticky" mailers. If I wanted to contact USPS about possible theft, who did you contact?

How are they reshipping it? If it were me, I'd demand it be sent by UPS or FedEx.

Good point. I didnt ask, to be honest. Guess we'll see what happens.

Layne 04-26-06 10:47 AM

Thank you.

Dan1boy 04-26-06 11:06 AM

Yup, got mine and the ticket was there..what a deal...wow!

Ianscloset 04-26-06 12:05 PM

I was thinking about picking these up when they came out, since I got the barebones, but Ive cut back my DVD buying the past few months, so I didnt. For this price though its a GREAT deal...but Unfortunatly its dead. I guess it wasnt meant to be :(

Oh well, Im seeing MI:III tongiht at a Sneak preview for free so its not all bad ;)

pagansoul 04-27-06 12:13 PM

I'll wait till all 3 are in a box set. :) After the summer.

I was going to do that, then I realized that they probably weren't going to give me a check for $8 (which is how much an evening showing of MI:III will cost around me at the theater).

So, in theory, should the DVD of MI:III cost around $15, I'll be saving myself $7.

(I think that logic works out... my brain hurts from studying Contracts II too much)
